Tokyo Fairborn reviews
18What a lovely little place. Everything we tried was wonderful! Really liked the Sexy Girl roll. Amazing flavors!
We stumbled across this hidden gem in Fairborn based on the 4.8 rating and I must say it did not disappoint. Our miso soup, spring rolls and sushi were fantastic! By far the best around if you’re looking for a relaxing, delicious meal!
Legitimately one of the best sushi places in the area! Don’t skip it!
The wife and I love getting their lunch bentos and a side of sushi! Great lil date
A gem in Fairborn that should definitely be checked out. Don't let the area of Fairborn fool you, this food is exquisite and amazing
We’ve been going here for years and they’ve slowly gotten worse. They used to have the best pad Thai and then they changed it. Pad Thai is always rice noodles and one day they were out and gave us whatever without saying anything. This lead to major health complications for one of us as she has celiac disease. They keep taking things off the menu, can’t even order a side of rice. It’s just not worth it anymore.
Beautiful wood decor and tablesinside, very clean comfortable. Nice atmosphere to talk to each other, servers friendly and helpful with any questions. Many choices of fresh made and adequate amount sushi, I like the vegetable one.be very careful with the Wasabi served with it! SPICY. Salad with ginger dressing refreshing and the chicken and the steak teriyaki savory sauces and extremely tender. Pad Thai dishes are excellent too.have unique desserts and soft and alcoholic drinks. Surely a hidden gem in Fairborn.
As I dive into the culinary wonders of Fairborn, Ohio, I find myself at a sushi sanctuary that tantalizes the senses and redefines the art of Japanese cuisine. It may not look like much the outside but OMG is it a 180 on the food inside!
First up, the miso soup—this isn't your run-of-the-mill appetizer. It's a warm embrace on a cool Ohio day, a perfectly balanced broth teeming with umami that dances on the tongue, setting the stage for what's to come.
Next, the vegetable gyoza. Crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, these dumplings are a harmonious blend of garden-fresh veggies wrapped in a golden-brown crust. Each bite is a crunchy, savory burst of zen.
Enter the chicken pad Thai. A dish that's usually the domain of Thai cuisine, but here, it's been embraced with a sushi chef's finesse. The noodles are tender yet firm, the chicken succulent, and the veggies crisp. Tossed in a tangy sauce and finished with a squeeze of lime, it's a cross-cultural love affair.
The pièce de résistance?
The sushi rolls. The spicy tuna roll is a fiery gem, the heat of the tuna mellowed by a creamy mayo, a juxtaposition that sends shivers down your spine. And the tempura fried JB roll with eel sauce? It's a crispy, decadent wonder, a textural masterpiece drizzled with a sweet and savory sauce that lingers long after the final bite.
Fairborn's sushi spot doesn't just serve dishes, it crafts memories, one ecstatic, energetic bite at a time!
This is the best low key sushi restaurant in the area.
The roles were amazing. Highly recommend the wild tiger (strawberry and mango) and Fairborn roll.
The music and atmosphere is very calm and very relaxing.
Support your local business!
Thank you to the chef and waitress as everything was amazing!
This is my new favorite sushi place! We had Fairborn, Wild tiger, spicy yellow, and fire volcano roll. All of them were amazing. The Fairborn roll and wild tiger especially. The atmosphere is very low key and great for dates.
Me and my husband always try to make some time to come here or just a very convenient place to go, we like how peaceful and comfy this place is and at the same time quality, and good food. Special mention to staff and chef that have always been consistently informative and kind to customers. We would recommend the tricolor sushi, it's my husband fave while the shrimp shumai appetizer is my fave! We love everything about this place!
Absolutely love this restaurant. I always come in for take out. They are always so kind and the food is amazing. Always hit the spot. The front lady always takes care of everyone and gives them great service. Quality of food couldn’t be better. I highly recommend it.lunch specials are also very affordable!
The best local restaurant for excellent Japanese dishes. Both the quality and quantity as well as the service are "Joto"!
The food is always delicious at Tokyo. The owners and employees are very polite and helpful. Lily is the best!
Area is unfortunate, but this is a gem in the rough! Ordered the pork katsu and massaman curry dishes, with ginger salad (light and refreshing!) to try and it was yummy! Great portions. Lady at pick up was friendly!
Edit to add in: sushi is prepped amazzinngggllyy here, and continues to have great service
I enjoyed their cold sushi and rolls. However their hot roll with smoked salmon, cream cheese, salmon roe, avocado, etc.had almost too much going on, and it was all under the eel sauce (iirc), which sort of washed out all the other flavors.
Excellent sushi and service close to home. We used to have to drive to Centerville to get consistent quality sushi.
Highly recommended.
Ordered a variety of sushi for takeout. Everything looked amazing and was fresh and delicious. Definitely a great hidden gem!
The food tasted good although the consistency of the crab rangoon's filling seemed a little Off and the yellow curry seemed more like a red curry. The chicken for the curry didn't taste like chicken and had a lot of fat. After I was done eating and left I could feel my stomach drop. Service was ok they didn't stop by to ask how the food was. Also, it seemed as if they are understaffed. The outside needs a little touch-up to seem more welcoming.
