Tolly's Gastropub, Greenville OH

Order a few stakes and one of them, the meat tasted rancid. I asked them to take it off. The stake was not eaten. The manager told the server nothing was wrong and he wouldn’t do anything. The manager couldn’t even bother to come over and talk to us. How can you tell the stake isn’t bad. We will not be back. Very disappointed in the management and lack of customer services. On the other hand our server Omar was amazing.

When we went on Saturday for lunch, the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Waitresses would take 10+ minutes to seat people, and this translated in to getting to place your order. Despite the obvious high street environment, the waitresses were kind and tried their best to meet the needs of people. The food was mediocre at best, but it makes sense when you see the heaping plates of food and remember they didn't cost all that much. We found the food to be mostly bland.

Food was great with very generous portions, good atmosphere, there was a long wait time but worth it!

Always enjoyed coming to Tolly’s but after tonight we won’t be back. The waitress from the table beside us checked on us more than our actual waitress. Our entire order came out wrong. We asked for a medium rare steak, it was brought out well done. We asked what came on the Philly fries, they failed to mention certain items we would have asked to be left off. Our son asked for a simple cheese calzone, it came packed full of meat. Our sub sandwich was loaded with Mayonnaise when it was to be on the side. After all these issues with our food the kitchen staff refused to fix their mistakes and our waitress wouldn’t give us the news. The hostess who was great, was sent to give us the news that they decided we were the problem, not their lack of attention to detail. They sent us on our way without making our order properly. This is not a way to run a service establishment.

Massive portions for a decent price! Service was excellent and fast. I'll be going back.

Very warm and welcoming service. Good food with good drinks combined with good service. All around, good experience.

This was my first time inside Tolly's I've had the food before when they were on door dash our waitress was great and as always the food was good will definitely be back again

Tolly's has a huge menu! There service is top knotch! Food quality is spot on! From your Ontario, Canada friends!

I'm not from the area and this was my first time at Tolly's. We had both had a hard day but this experience brightened our evening. I will definitely be returning. This is probably the best restaurant experience I've had all year.

Food- There are a lot of options on the menu and some that aren't available elsewhere. I was so impressed with the quality of ingredients here. We both ordered the special a 12oz strip steak. I got a baked potato and side salad and my partner got a Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. We also ordered the clam strips dinner as an app. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, and a better quality of meat than at most restaurants. They smothered it with sauteed onions for free and used a dollop of garlic butter. The potato was tender and the salad used romaine lettuce instead of iceberg. The croutons were homemade and crunchy instead of the rock hard ones most places serve. The clams were fried and actually tasted like clams. They have the most amazing fresh cut fries. Oh and you got a few onion rings with your steak. They were sweet and battered with something that reminded me of the fair. They serve Coca Cola products and the iced tea was perfectly brewed. I didn't get a cocktail this time but I look forward to it.

Service- I was hesitant at first because no one greeted us for a few minutes. But it was very busy and we arrived at a peak time. Our server was friendly, polite and attentive without being intrusive. No one tried to pressure us into ordering something specific. No one acted weird that we didn't order alcohol. The staff was genuine and that made me feel comfortable being there.

Atmosphere- It's definitely got a pub feel. They have darker floors and furniture and neon lights. But they also had large windows. There were a lot of TV's. Everything was comfortable and well maintained. It was also much cleaner than what has become normal. They have a patio option which I may try next time. The temperature of the inside was perfect. Most places set it to freezing but this was comfortable. They had these cute stainless steel trays as some of the tableware. It fit the decor and probably helped them economize. Whoever runs or owns this place knows what areas to put profit back into the business. They also had these large ale glasses in a different shape than I'd seen.

I'm so glad I visited here. This restaurant really reminded me of back when there were more high quality local restaurants in Ohio. Most of the amazing places have disappeared due to increasing costs, chain restaurants, or lack of succession planning. If you're considering Tolly's, I highly suggest it. It's money well spent and that's a rarity.

The food was amazing, the cook came out to answer a question we had. Our server was well not the best, but could have had a rough day. Was hooked the 1st time I went.

You can't beat this place for the price. The menu is phenomenal. The portions are, honestly, too big (but who's going to complain about that). The staff is super friendly. I will be back!

We went in on a Saturday afternoon around 2, with 12 people. It didn't take long to seat us. The service was great, and the food was delicious. We had the poutine and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. The poutine was just as good as any we have had in Toronto. My husband really enjoyed his salad. The New York Steamer sub was really good, and so was the 9in Chicago style pizza. The portions were huge. We took quite a bit home for leftovers. We will definitely be back.

We visited on a Friday evening before it got busy but shortly after being seated, the place was packed. Pretty sure that's why service was so slow. Most of the big varied menu is good, but the pasta dishes were too salty. I had pecan encrusted haddock which was excellent!

Well I usually have good service and friendly fun joking people. But the bartender Doug cam be a jerk so be sure not to say something wrong or he will give you your bill and not serve you

Ordered Steak medium, got a Rare.
Waitress was to busy to come check with us, so I ate what I could. Now I'm planted in the John with stomach pains (food poisoning?)
Waitress finally came to the table 3/4 of the way through the meal, offered to take what was left back to cook, but everyone was almost done with their meals by then.
Anyone knows the difference between Rare and Medium so they obviously have major quality control issues.
Used to look forward to eating there too.
And no, they didn't even offer anything for their obvious mistake.
Glad Greenville has other options for our money.

The cooks during the middle part of the day don’t care about anything and continually give low quality food. The cooks during dinner time and evening time are absolutely amazing and the main reason why this places food is so delicious. Just sadly depends on what time you come in is whether or not you’ll get amazing food or mediocre versions of the same thing.

If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. Love this place! Still great food and people. Doesn't get any better, the staff is top notch.

Has never been a meal that I have got from here that has been bad everything is always fresh really delicious and Portion sizes are huge
