If there was a zero star i would have put that!

my English mastiff, Mable was staying at this establishment a few weeks ago. When I went to pick her up on the last day, I was told that she wasn’t there. When I asked where she was I was informed that she had been taken out of the kennel late Tuesday night around 11pm and taken out of the state into Kentucky to Barbs home. I asked why she was taken and who took her and the woman told me that the OWNER Barb Schwartz had instructed a woman named Stacy (an employee) to let a woman named Jillian (not an employee) into the kennel at 11pm. Then Jillian took MY DOG MABLE and had driven her to Barbs home in Kentucky. They DID NOT contact me nor did they have my permission to do this! I had not found out she was stolen until I was there to pick her up and take her home!

Barb was very rude and refused to bring my dog back to me.even after the police advised her to do so and after I had begged and pleaded for her to bring my dog back safely. I then made a Facebook post in hopes to find another way in getting my dog back and local 12 news got involved in the story. Then finally the day of my Facebook post, my sweet baby Mable was returned back to the kennel.then the police retrieved her and took her to the police station where I was Finally able to get my Mable back. The poor girl was in so much distress that it made her heat cycle stop and it didn’t come back for a couple weeks! This is truly madness!

I would NOT recommend this kennel to anyone because the owner will take and steal your dog without permission and try to get more money out of you for their safe return home. Or she will tell you she’s giving your dog their medicine but instead she’s taking it!

She is an awful person and she is a thief! Town and country kennel needs to be shut down, and Barb needs to be charged with a felony theft and prosecuted for stealing my dog! She also has shown no remorse for her actions! In fact she’s calling vets in the area telling them that mable is HER DOG! What a freaking joke!

Keep your animal safe and stay away from this establishment!

Extremely rude & unproffessional
Barb does whatever she wants with your pets, with no regard to their safety

Don't trust this Kennel. She stole someone's purebred dog and took it out of state while it was supposed to be kenneled there, and refused to give her back for days. My best guess is that she is part of a puppy mill ring and used Mabel as a fake "parent" to show potential puppy buyers. This happens all the time with puppy mills. That makes the most sense considering she was gone for a while, and was promised to be back 2 days before she was returned to the owner. The owner is deleting reviews feverishly trying to cover up this scandal. Don't trust this place with your family members.

We have an anxious pup who only likes his family, and acts nervous and seems scary/aggressive (he is a 75 lb lab/shepherd mix with issues) to anyone else (aka strangers). Town & Country is the ONLY kennel in the area who would take him. They are friendly, listen and he acts excited when entering and leaving. So grateful for them!

Attempted 3 times to get in contact with them in order to board our dog. Sent message on FB, received automative response that someone would be in touch, no one did. Contacted through website, no return email. Called and left voicemail, No return call. Not someplace I would trust to take care of a family member.
