This place is a scam. Told me it would be $2600 to fix my transmission. Which I thought was fair price. Made me put down a 750 deposit in cash. The next day called me said it would be $4600. Told him it was. Outrageous. I’ll take it somewhere else. Wouldn’t give me the $750 back. Now I know why the deposit was cash only. Stay away

Horrible customer service, Bruce instructed me to leave the keys in drop box with a note stating the issue I’m having with the vehicle and that I need to pick car up at a certain time, he assured me that the diagnosis would be done by the time I need it back. When I pulled up at that time, my car was still where I left it, after 4 1/2 hours. Then was given the runaround about why they never looked at my car. Took my keys and never will be back

Guy is a butcher…. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE…. As you can see by pics he can even rebuilt a manual trans…. Took it in because of no third gear got it back the first time still no third gear…… (should of never took it back) had to have redone couple months later as you can see he put a lubricant on input shaft (DAH) epoxy together one of the forks in photo also didn’t put trans bolts back in trans mount…. Ruined the drivetrain…. And yes I have a receipt…. That will be he first excuse ……. Really GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Dropped off my Trailblazer (with 220,000+ miles on it) after speaking with John for some tests/diagnostics to see if in fact the transmission was failing. He did all of this at NO COST and gave me a great and thorough assessment of the truck. With the truck being at such high mileage, I did make the decision to hold off on the repair, store the car and instead put some money toward a family member's car for the time being. I recommend Transmissions by Bruce if you need transmission work done. The owner was always available when I called and kept me informed on my transmission replacement. I saved over a thousand bucks over any other place and these guys know transmissions. I had one issue after the replacement (not to say they did anything wrong) and they fixed is for nothing.

I was soooo excited to spend my money here, I actually need 2 transmissions. Then when it's time to get it done his whole attitude changed and my Caprices suddenly are not worth his time or expertise.sent me to Summit. Lol thank you for nothing. 5stars treated me like a bum. I would have paid whatever made it worth it to you. Don't judge a book by the cover, read the first page. I have cut zero corners with this cars.

Claimed they fixed my transmission but it broke 2 more times and then claimed I let the fluid run out.

This is the place to be. Affordable and good work last but least you get your car back on time. I had a situation to where my transmission would have cost over 5000 dollars I drive a 2016 ford edge just bought it not even a year ago. My Technician was john and his dad. John made it happen for less.
Not even that I had a secondary payment to help me out he made sure they paid there half and more cause I needed my car. I am a satisfied customer. Thank you john I greatly appreciated it. May God bless you and see you soon.

Tried to scam me also, talking about bring $800 in cash only cash. He ain’t know I was a cop. So much fishy stuff he did which made me look up the reviews. John really don’t show his face lol. Please listen to me do not go to that shop.

Very rude on the phone and would not me the parts he put in my transmission I told him I was the owner of the car and my daughter brought the car in to be fixed I think I have the right to know what work was done on it

John is an excellent guy. He did everything to help me.
They replaced the transmission in my car on 9/2020, a month later I found an issue with the transmission, I called him he took a necessary action to fix it.
I called them twice after that for help on phone and John was very helpful.

Do I recommend them for transmission work?
A big yes.

Great customer service. Honest business. They won't upsell you anything you don't need. I'll be taking my work truck to them today. I hope it's just a sensor.

John is unprofessional, you’ll never see his face in person he hides behind the phone and robs you of your money. You’ll get a price, pay it then the transmission will still have issues, he’ll then charge you more and more and still barely get it fixed. Warranty sucks, for his prices just go straight to the dealer they won’t give u the run around.
