Travelodge by Wyndham Cleveland Lakewood reviews
18First of all, from my experience this hostel is safe also for a woman travelling on her own. There is a reception all night and I felt safe as a young woman. But the breakfast has been disappointing. Also the checkin started one hour later than they wrote per Mail so that I hurried up. The room was old but okay and clean. The area is safe too.
I come from new York city to visit America stamp show 2023 at downtown convention center, this hotel is very convenient to down by bus and.train, and area is safe, hotel stafff is friendly and like to help you.room is clean, only breakfast need to improve, breakfast supply from 6: 30 am -9: 30am, but I went in at 7am, it is already everything empty.
5 star customer service. Sha Ron was incredibly helpful in checking us in super late with some great local advice
Overall a great stay. The room was small and still needed some updates, but the bed was amazing and it accommodated myself and my service dog perfectly when we arrived late for a short stay during our cross-country drive. AJ at the desk was awesome! We chatted about his experience there and how he was looking to get into management, which would be a natural next step for him. He was kind and offered excellent hospitality. Location was quiet for being just outside of a big city. Overall though improvements are needed it was still a great stay. P. S. AJ if you find that bear let me know!
Sha Ron at the desk was awesome totally recommend when she’s there the rooms were nice and best for a last minute stop
This was the worst place ever. And terrible customer service. Rented two rooms, there was one towel between the 2 room. One room had a shattered TV. Spoke to the desk clerk a few times (when they were there) and got nothing resolved; including not receiving towels
Nice place. AJ is the one in charge, and he will be more than helpful, always.
Breakfast is not a breakfast, is what they say "complimentary" but should try something better.just a suggestion
ZERO ELEVATORS. & The police were there three times for 3 separate incidents in TWO days, carpet was disgusting in hallways and rooms (as if they had not been cleaned or vacuumed in months), breakfast was not ready one day, and the front desk worker lady was literally sleeping on multiple occasions
I was literally "dead on my feet" exhausted when I booked it online at the last minute after a grueling day.
The hotel is dingy. The halls are dim. The carpets are dirty with funky smells & obvious stains. The room was grimy.
The landscaping was overrun with weeds & overgrown.
The exit doors stuck, where as you needed to use an inordinate amount of strength to open them.
There were wrinkled signs taped on the walls saying, excuse the conditions because they are doing renovations.
There is NO evidence that ANY work is in progress.
The only good thing I could say is there didn't seem to be evidence of bedbugs & the clerk was pleasant.
If I had had an ounce of strength left in my body & my brain fog wasn't so dense, I would have searched for a different place to sleep.
Stayed here when attended Cleveland Pride and I loved Pride as it was my first time ever going in Ohio. Lakewood Travelodge was very close in location to Pride, the clubs were Phenomenal. Area is close and hotel was commutable even on foot from the club we attended. Rooms are Nice, staff friendly and accepting, breakfast is from 6am to 9am WiFi included in stay at hotel. Check in was quick and efficient
Great value for your money, a good place to crash on a budget - basic, and straight up. There are amenities but are very few - grateful for the cleanliness of the building.
Rooms are small and have bad damp smell.it was difficult to breath and sleep. I had to cut my stay and change hotels. I don't recommend it at all.
Nice neighborhood, some local shops and bars within walking distance. The air conditioning and wifi were horrible. Most likely would not stay at this location again.
Incredibly inaccessible hotel which has to be violating ADA.
As you enter the front door, prepare to be greeted by a 3-foot tall slope at 45° incline to reach the lobby. (unfortunately I did not get pictures). My wheelchair could not climb this massive hill. I am sufficiently ambulatory (I can walk short distances without passing out, but that's my limit), so I could dismount my wheelchair and push it up this hill. However, someone with less mobility than me would have no way to even get in this building. At no point during my 4-day stay, with multiple daily entries and exits, did ANY staff who watched me dismount my wheelchair to enter the building, inform me of the existence of an ADA-accessible entrance. I'm sure one doesn't exist. I looked for one.
Also, this building has no elevator. I booked a 1-bed room which ended up being on the 2nd floor. When I checked in I was upset about being on the second floor and asked if there was an elevator (. Because I use a wheelchair). The man at the front desk said there is no elevator, and he informed me that there were no 1-bed rooms on the first floor. Of course, there were larger rooms available on the first floor, but those would cost more and I hadn't budgeted for that. It was close to midnight when I checked after my flight and I was incredibly tired, so I didn't press the issue of moving floors. During my stay, I ended up hauling my wheelchair up and down the steps, MULTIPLE times a day. At NO point did any staff offer assistance or offer me a room on the first floor.
The vending machine doesn't take credit card. If you want a midnight snack you're out of luck.
I liked the breakfast, but there weren't a lot of options.
I had no issues with staff members themselves. They were friendly and helpful. The onus is on the owners, for their inaccessible building and insufficiently training staff to accommodate wheelchair users.
This was the worst Travelodge experience ever. Let me share everything that was wrong.
1.) Outside lawn in front of room130 was not cut or trimmed.
2.) Room was out dated with green painted walls
3.) Carpet was filthy to the point where I had to wear my shoes
4.) Sheets had stains on them
5.) Television did not work. Staff member Angela C.was aware of incident but never correct. She told me that she would give be a percentage off on my stay but that wasn’t done.
6.) Mold on ceiling in shower.
7.) Very noisy
What was good about stay.
1.) Easy check in
2.) Decent location
3.) Good shower water pressure
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
This place is a dump! Stay here as a last option when in Cleveland! The bed in my room was concave to the middle and unsleepable! I had to sleep on the floor! The floor was dirty and in serious need of a good vacuuming and a deep shampoo! The "free continental breakfast" was a joke! No milk for cereal, no hot water or tea, no bread or bagels for toast. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this Wyndham property!
I actually went to a interview here. I want to say she was the rudest woman I have ever met. It was more like a interrogation. She was so unprofessional and plain unfriendly. Some people should not work in the public especially in a hotel. Nasty attitude. I would not have taken the job if offered anyways at the point of meeting.
But Ashley was the bomb we made waffles and coffee, there was old beer cans, and cup and tissue behind the toliet, shower curtains stank, bed was dirty
