Travelodge by Wyndham Gallipolis

Just an overnight stay. The room seems to be redone but the bathroom was disgusting with grout and paint spots on the tub and floor. The bathroom smelled because of the mildew underneath the plastic tub floor mat that I would never want to step on. The ceiling in the room and bathroom had black and brown spots (mold?). The whole place has a creepy vibe and the only redeeming thing was that the bed was comfortable.

My intended stay at the Travelodge was regrettably cut short due to the deplorable conditions I encountered. Upon arrival, I was met with a room that left much to be desired. The sink was full of grime and dust, and to my dismay, I spotted a roach in the vicinity. This was not the welcoming experience I had expected.

Hoping for an improvement, I requested a room change. However, the second room proved to be equally unsatisfactory. Stained sheets, hair in the bed, and an overall lack of cleanliness were apparent. The bathroom also showed signs of neglect, with grime and filth present. I even noticed outdated wiring leading to a new light fixture, which raised safety concerns.

Despite my best intentions to stay, I ultimately had to make the difficult decision to leave the establishment. It was clear that the conditions were unsuitable for a comfortable stay, and the overall experience did not meet even the most basic expectations.

The only redeeming aspect of my visit was the commendable performance of the front desk staff. The lady working there was professional and empathetic, and it was evident that she cared about guest satisfaction. If she were in a managerial position, I believe this establishment could undergo a significant transformation for the better.

In summary, my experience at this Travelodge was far from satisfactory, and I was unable to complete my stay due to the subpar conditions. The conditions I encountered resembled more of a barn than a reputable lodging establishment. I strongly urge Wyndham, the parent company, to consider removing their name from this location until these issues are resolved. Cleanliness and maintenance should always be a priority, regardless of the hotel's star rating. My experience serves as a stark reminder of the need for better management and higher standards at this particular Travelodge.

I would not recommend anybody to stay there. These people are nothing but crooks. I booked a room over a week ago for one night and had to call and cancel it the night before talked to a woman at 6: 30 and said that everything was all right that I would not be charged or anything like that and now they went ahead and charged me and are fighting saying that I did not call and cancel my reservations. These people are nothing but crooks.

Rooms were clean. The lady at the desk when we checked in was really friendly and helpful. The picnic area outside was really nice for grilling out and relaxing with a few drinks.

I always stay here when I can when traveling through the area. It is the halfway point in my route from NC to IL.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Also there are food options nearby.

I also enjoy the hot breakfast and coffee in the morning.

Also the price is excellent for my budget.

I look forward to my next stay.

I was in town as usual, every year for a family reunion, we stayed here for price, and location.my family and I had a few rooms booked, we was outback smoking, and I get a call on my cell, that I was smoking in my room, i was cussed out by a foreign lady and foreign man, barely understood them, i was embarrassed and humiliated by those two, yelling and cussing me out, I actually lit an incense, because my room stunk bad, moldy damp, dirty odor smelling.dirty stained comforter, and sheets, pillowcases.they were in my room and videotaped my personal belongings and showed me the video. He has hundreds of videos of rooms on his cell.scary man! The two cleaning gals were nice, they agreed no smoking was done in my room! But I was so distraught, he was in my bathroom with me looking for ashes, and none found, i then dropped my partial and it cracked, 1000.bucks! For abuse, mental stress. I do not recommend this place, noisy all hours and nosey foreign owners. I will be disputing my charges and my family will never stay there ever again. There is a small room beside mine, he took me in, to smell for smoke, none detected, but the room connected to mine, i now wonder if he can see in my room.scary! Also my brother had his do not disturb on his door, they went in his room and cleaned it! Why do you enter any room with do not disturb on the door.not trustworthy! Nothing against foreign folks but these two were out of control and not professional at all! Horrible ordeal and still traumatized days later!

So my husband and i were coming into Ohio in a box truck and needed a room for the night but it needed to be cheap due to it being company money. I have always been a firm beliver in "you get what you pay for". I have to say i was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Yes it is an older building and does look a little rough in spots. But the room was clean and smelled clean. Honestly my only complaint was a personal preference. The bed and pillows were very firm. I prefer soft and squishy. But some people like firm so i cant fault the hotel for that. Over all for $75+tax i was impresssd. So if you are just looking for a clean room and a bed for the night. Take a chance.

Friendly and helpful management, friendly staff. Clean rooms. A bit outdated, but they are currently remodeling. Great budget hotel.

Perfect budge place in perfect location that served my exact needs. Jessica at the front office was extremely friendly and very helpful! Breakfast is good and coffee is always ready in the lobby.

When traveling it’s always acceptable, to feel whether or not. Your stay is going to be comfortable, relaxing & much more. I booked this hotel with two rooms and the service & Managment, was very wonderful. They took great care of us.
The rooms are nice & clean. You’ll see negative reviews. But you can’t satisfy everyone. Will definitely know where to stay again.

The first thing you'll notice is the smell. It's a hard stale ramen stench with a hint of sweaty feet and moldy rug. It's everywhere. The rooms are TINY, you can barely move around. A roach appeared on the ceiling while we were headed out for a few hours, by the time we came back he was gone. They had a small selection for breakfast. Warning for diabetics, everything available was loaded with carbs and/or sugar. The cleaning people left their carts and vacuums in front of the stairs a couple times making it hard to get through. The staff was friendly, the price was decent, and it was in a good location.

Our room was super clean and they accommodated a late check in with no problems. The front desk person even directed us where to park as we had a large moving truck, we appreciated the help so much!

Without doubt one of the favorite Motel I stayed during my vacation time, Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and (deepika patel) manager. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!). We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. I would recommend to everyone go there and enjoy best hospitality during your family vacation.
