Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center reviews
8Clean quick and good communication. Questionable technical skills and / or integrity. I was I introduced as a Carvana warranty customer. All seemed well, at first, with the repairs, until they weren't. The staff is really polite, but I do not think they know how to properly diagnose or repair things.like wheel bearings, air conditioning compressors, brake pads/rotors, and leaking tires. Do yourself a favor, watch YouTube videos, and do the repairs yourself like I have. More importantly than saving a lot of money, the repair will be done right.
I have to give credit where it is due when they do work it’s very great no problems if there is they take well care of vehicles, HOWEVER three weeks ago I made an appointment for just a diagnosis for my vehicle they told me he needed a couple of days with it I said fine Monday comes I call front desk they tell me my tech is on vacation no one will be able to look at it until Monday a week later I call TUESDAY and was told a couple of days I call Thursday they said they’ll call me that day I come pick my car up Friday and it’s been sitting in the same spot for two to three straight weeks refilling tires and all so I do have mixed feelings about this place this is the first time this has ever happened to me because they are usually pretty good
Neil and Jerry told me step by step the process they was on and told me how much more than their quote would be if i had extra work done before doing it
They took care for my oil change request even though it was almost time to close the shop for the day. Both mechanics and managers were helpful and took care of their customers.
I took my vehicle in to replace the ignition switch, as it was diagnosed by them.when I got the vehicle back something was staying on after the vehicle was turned off. I made sure I was not leaving anything on.drained through my first battery (one year old) which I replaced and drained through the brand new battery.when I brought the vehicle back, since there is a one year warranty, 3 weeks passed with not calls or contact. I tried calling and left several messages with no answer or reply. Then I decided to visit the place; I was told the they have a lot of work and were not able to check my vehicle. I am pretty sure that those vehicle came way after mine.when I complaint about the poor service I was suggested to take the vehicle some place
else. I refused since the problem was caused by them. I left and 2 days later I received a call from them indicating that the new battery was faulty. I explained again that there was something else draining the battery. Then they called back indicating that it was the radio? They kept the vehicle for one month. I picked up the vehicle and everything inside was taken apart. I towed it to another mechanic and they informed that the alarm connection was damaged while the ignition was replaced, and they didn't want to take responsibility. They did not honored the warranty and made me pay again for diagnosis. I am very disappointed with the service, I feel neglected and mistreated. Take your vehicle some place else. One star because no other choice to publish
Go elsewhere. These people are liars and scammers and Neil is the biggest liar and scammer of them all. You'll end up paying hundreds or thousands of dollars getting work done on their word and the problem you took your car in for still won't be fixed until you take it to a shop where the owner has a conscience and the mechanics are competent.
I had my car towed to Tuffy on W. Broad Street on Wednesday 5-3-23 because alternator went out on it. They replaced alternator and had it back to me by noon on Saturday 5-6-23. I want to thank Neil and the staff there for there great work in repairing my car in a very timely manner.
