U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer reviews
2Uncourteous, disorganized staff. Truck was dirty. I had to wait 20 minutes to get started with my 4 hour truck rental. Attempted to remedy the issue with customer service and they were unable to return my call for 3 hours, I had to continue to call their office. It seemed like every other customer renting a truck was also having one issue or another with this truck rental place including not having the correct equipment, equipment failure issues (tail lights not working) or long wait in line. Owner does not care if he keeps you waiting. Your time is irrelevant to and not respected by him. Take your business elsewhere. This place is the worst rental place I’ve ever experienced and you can get a far better deal and equipment elsewhere which is what I should have done.
Be cautious renting Uhaul’s from here. I rented a 20’ truck and car transport trailer from here and had a terrible experience. When I arrived to pick up the truck and trailer I was informed that I could only take the truck, and that I had to come back after the truck was loaded, and bring my car so they could load my car on the transport. This was somewhat inconvenient as I was hoping to get my car loaded with my family ahead of time, and not wait until right when I was leaving. But they made it was clear that was policy.
So I showed up as I was leaving town to travel several states away, we were loading my vehicle and it bottomed out on the trailer. There were 2 uhaul guys spotting me, the owner of the marathon saw I had bottomed out hard, and instructed me to keep going. I did not, and we went inside to return the trailer. Without provocation the owner started making all sorts of accusations trying to make it my fault, called me a liar about what car I was bringing.all this guy had to do was spot me, not that hard.
I Made a claim with uhaul and they contacted me saying they aren’t liable because it’s my job to load the trailer at home…complete opposite of what I was told by this pickup location! I would have gladly done it at home. So now it’s cost me 3x as much to have the car delivered to me, and I still don’t know the damage.
