Beware! Tara is a mean, snarky girl. When I offered to schedule a new appointment for my elderly mom, she burst into tears and didn't want to go. Her stylist Tara was insulting during our last visit. Tara provides great service when the owner is present. However, when left to her own devices, Tara is very cruel and verbally abusive to the elderly clientele. Mom has been growing out her old lady 1970s style for months and Tara was helping her. We had the misfortune of visiting when the owner was off work. Tara wanted to play and we were in the way, Tara told mom that she couldn't have her coveted hairstyle and gave her that 1970s style again. Tara told mom a new style was pointless. She had a "bad chin line. " Tara and her co-worker Erin kept signaling about needing a smoke break. Clearly mom's presence was invading Tara's play time. Tara cost the owner two customers. Neither of us will be back. Tara is an awful person.

Best Place to go for best haircut. Best service. I was hard to find good hair saloon since we came from another country. Olga is delivering best haircut and best service.

I have stubborn hair. Olga always makes it behave, and offers advice to make it work for me as well. If for some reason, I am unable to get an appointment with her, I know I can get a good cut and color from anyone else in the shop. And, I have for years. There are other hair shops closer to my house, but I will drive the distance for what I have come to know as a great cut!

Best place in the area to have any service done to your hair! I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut, color, or perm mine or my daughter's hair. Marie & Erin are the best stylists in the area! Perfect family salon.

I enjoy my time at Uniquely You. The ladies at this salon make you feel beautiful as soon as you walk in the door and that their soul purpose is to simply enhance what God already gave ya. While the salon building isn't top notch, it is tidy and the atmosphere is positive, with lots of warm chatter and smiles from the staff.

The salon staff is always very helpful in recommending cuts, styles and products - they often lend opinions and helping hands, and will even give you tips and tricks to take home with you.

I had been going to Marie, the owner, for several years and now see Ashley, who just "gets me" and can squeeze me in for all my last minute appointments. Any of the ladies in the salon are a treat to work with whether you are a man, woman or child.

My wife and I have been going there since we moved here in 2009. Every time we go it is a blessing and a great experience. We love Ashley, plus the whole crew is awesome. I know for a fact this is a great family and they operate on integrity. In my opinion Uniquely You is the place for your entire family.

This is a hidden gem of Mason that I discovered after I was continually disappointed with the discount stores. They have several ladies that all do a great job. Ashley has cut my hair enough that I can tell her to "do her thang" and know it will be what I want.

Horrible customer care, non cooperative and rude. Service industry is all about being polite and keeping the customer happy. Experience was far off from there!

I went to Uniquely You looking for a new Spring style, and Ashley delivered! She listened to what I was looking for, and evaluated what would look good with the shape of my face, as well as how my hair would lay. She started a little longer to be sure I was comfortable with the length, then went shorter when I said I was ready! Ashley took her time, and I felt very confident that she would do a great job! The hairstyle she provided is really cute, and something unique (in a great way!). I tend to be conservative with my hair, and I am excited to have a new style! The prices are reasonable for a woman's cut, and it was easy to make an appointment - I think I've found a new salon!

I rarely post a negative review, but the experience I had with Uniquely You at the Lofts @Snider Crossing today warranted this warning to others. I was looking for a new place for a cut and booked an appointment four weeks ago with Tara. I even had problems then booking this first visit. The online booking site did not work, so I left a phone message that was not returned, so left a second message a couple of days later.
I came to the appointment and Tara seemed pleasant. Got the cut and booked a return visit for a trim before I was due to leave for vacation four weeks later. I came back today for the return visit and sat in the hallway awaiting my turn after the current customer. A woman with red hair asked why I was waiting, and I said I had an appointment at ten with Tara. She looked inside at Tara and then told me I had no appointment and they were completely booked as it was Easter the next day. I asked Tara if she remembered me and my going on vacation. She said yes, but said she could squeeze me in later around noon. I said my appointment is now at 10. She offered no alternative as I said I could come back Monday since my flight was Monday evening. The salon is closed on Mondays. I said "You have just lost a customer" and left. I drove to another place I used in the past, but they were booked solid. I went home and found the original appointment card in another purse, so decided to return and try one more time with Tara. She looked at the card and said they had problems with the appointment system (never mentioned that earlier) and said she could take me in about an hour at 50% price. I said I was already inconvenienced by running to another place and back home. Tara again said that was all she could offer. The red haired lady said I could go around to the other salons in the building and see if someone could help me. I did so, but everyone was tightly booked for the holiday. Then the red haired lady appeared (probably since I was making a scene), and said she was very sorry and could now accommodate me with a free cut. Another salon heard my story and said there was a salon across the street who could probably work me in as they have lots of stylists. I did have a wonderful experience with Bella Chic who had someone available when I walked in and told my story.
I will never return to Uniquely You for the poor customer service portrayed. As another salon stylist in the building agreed, "This is not how we do things here - they should have escorted you to other salons in the building to see if someone could help". I work in customer service and know why it is important to immediately go above and beyond to satisfy the customer, especially when the company is at fault. I will tell one hundred people and they will tell one hundred people, and word will spread about my unfortunate experience.
