United Methodist Church For All People reviews
16I knew about this free store for many years today I wanted to go & drop off some donations. It's August; I had 2 car loads of items to donate.when I arrived it was packed not free store but the streets were block for a community block gathering. I didn't attend but it looked really nice. As for the free store I went to the door it was locked. Ok apparently it was closed. A women came out she told me they closed @ 1 pm. Well it was about 1: 20, per the website it said 10-2. I told her I came far away & had 2 car loads. She assisted me & all the helpers came out to help. I was so happy. I told them I would be bring more items now I know the correct time. Is 9-1pm. They also offered me a tax receipt. (As I looked today the time say 10-12: 30), I hope times are accurate for us come a long way. I've called just to receive a recording. Please make sure timing is accurate, especially for those who want to bring donations. Blessings to all that needs items. By reviews it is a nice place. I pray homeless people go I left some great items. Thanks
My private time with my spiritual family
ALL IS WELCOME TO COME 9: 15 OR 11: 00 AM COME AS U ARE IN Jesus name AMEN
The free store has helped me and my husbamd out a few different times and we are very thankful for their services.
And the staff were great
This place is a God send miracle. The people are AMAZING and caring for all who have been through the doors of this wonderful place. I love the atmosphere and the people who work there.
A great service provider for people in need.
Easy donation drop off in rear of the building.
I love the store itself.
I have mixed feelings about the employment.
Most of the staff will address you respectively and friendly.
Then you have the staff that treats you rudely, and with judgement. The older gentleman/new supervisor in the store was extremely rude to me on more than one occasion, and other people mentioned to me the way they was treated at various times in the store.
I've also noticed some have favorite shoppers/or friends come in and they get special treatment.
All staff should treat you with respect, this is a church.
Some of the staff needs to have training on how to interact with shoppers. The right way, not the wrong way to tell the shopper's you can't take certain items.
Usually my shopping experience will be relaxed and fun, depends which staff on the floor.
Other times my shopping experience is stressful, tense, feel uncomfortable picking items out.
THIS IS A CHURCH RAN STORE, SHOULD BE A JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE!
Seriously the stuff is free and donated.
Want to point out the lady that watches the time for the shopper's, very respectful and I enjoy her prayer before shopping.
The female manager that's been at store for long time, friendly and knowledgeable, but always in a hurry.
Went to the Christmas Drive they did the best they could do for my friend but could not help me and my friend said that it was not as good as it was 2018 then what it was 2019 I told her I would be grateful for whatever though my kids did not have a Christmas.
It's a great place that helps the community! They have a free fresh market and a free store! They also help pregnant mom's and mom's with babies ages 5 and under! They feed the hungry every Friday and partner with other community resources.
Great: feed all people. & got a clothing store free. & a health cinic next door. All in one on parsons & Whittier.
They do a great public service. I'm very appreciative for them. They even have their own parking lot and overall it's pretty safe.
What a wonderful place to get your free food. You must go online to make an appointment though. I give this place 5 Stars
Good People trying to look out for other people. That deserves as many stars as possible in my Book
I love this free store i been going here for years. It really helps out. The people are great. Im a single mother with three kids helps get clothes my kids need.
Takes care of a large demanding community. Moderately chaotic and can get frustrating if you're in a hurry. Excellent concept that still needs work.
The church assists many homeless and the "not getting a fair deal financially" get back on their feet and help show the neighborhood that someone does care. They help feed, clothes and give many the positive and happy to see you vibe, that tries to uplift one's day!
