Love my Hometown Post Office. Always helpful and the staff is friendly, especially the Lead Postal Clerk, Scott. He is always professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He is always willing to help and answer questions. Today, Scott met with us promply for our passport appointment. Thank you Scott!

Bad service i recommended you to get a professional employees instead of those lazy workers who don’t care for official documents I lost a very important papers and now I have to pay a lot for it and if there is below one star I would give it to this branch

Absolute worst post office to deal with. I had a certified letter that was supposed to be delivered to me. It was delivered to the wrong address and all the could say was we're sorry but their is nothing we can do. They wouldn't tell me what the tracking number was on the letter. So whoever has that letter has my personal information.

If you think they are mishandling your mail or delivering it to the wrong address THEY ARE. This is the worst post office. I’ve came into this location 3 times in the past week to put in a hold mail request and I did one online. Every time I come to pick up my mail they say the carrier took it out with them. The carrier will take the mail that is clearly supposed to be kept on hold and not deliver it. Then he will bring it back to the office and the cycle continues. The next day another person will take the mail that clearly says HOLD and not deliver it. I spoke to the supervisor of this place and he had “no idea” why the carriers kept taking my mail when they weren’t supposed to. What’s the point of taking mail that you won’t be able to deliver.

This is not the first time that this has happened either. They always “lose” my packages or it gets taken to another city. Where they say “oh we had it here in Fairborn but the carrier took it to Xenia” why take a package that says Fairborn from the Fairborn post office and take it to another city?

Horrible service, horrible workers, horrible carriers … they don’t care if you get your mail or not they are just here to get a check

This is a good place not very busy. We had a great experience. Scott and James both helped us out with applying for passports and were exceptional!

Packages shipped from the Fairborn post office often get delivered to the wrong address (rather than the one clearly marked on the package) and then when you go to the Post office no one wants to help you. They basically tell you to have someone who was receiving the package go try to find it at their own local post office.

Waited in line 15 min with no one letting us know what’s goin on. 2 of the people in line came in because their tracking info said their packages were delivered to house, but they never received delivers. At least communicate to let us know what’s going on, or why not become a private entity and be competent?

I live at Hawthorne Apartments and am sent an email with pics of my daily mail but there are days I never see that mail make it to my mailbox. BIG PROBLEM!

I went in to send in my passport application and worked with James and he was very nice! He explained everything for me so understood what the application process looked like and how long until I would receive my passport! Overall great experience! Thanks James!

Update: her name is Kim and she is just rude. She was rude not just to me but another customer. She should not be allowed to interact with the public. She has ruined the friendly ambiance that used to exist here.

This is a great post office…. Everyone is so very friendly until I interacted with a lady at window who had dark hair and wore a postal smock, I don’t want to broadcast her name. I have never seen her work customer service before and I hope I do not have to go to her window again. She was very unprofessional, rude, not friendly…. She probably should not interact with the public. Everyone else is great and deserves a 10 rating… everyone else is courteous, smiling, friendly and easy to interact with.

Doris needs to be fired. Extremely rude, and when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she hung up on me. I don’t care that “she’s a supervisor”. She wouldn’t be working there if anyone there had any sense

Not happy AT ALL! They deserve a ZERO rating. They lost my new compliant drivers license. Triple-checked the address it was sent to and they returned it to sender not once but twice! I can't even get anyone to do anything about it. The Ohio State license bureau in Columbus will not cancel it and send me a new one. I have to wait until it is "received" back by them by checking their website daily. Someone really dropped the ball. Spoke with Doris who has done nothing to help. Each party is blaming the other. No one is taking responsibility. I was told I can go ahead and purchase a replacement but it would be my responsibility to pay for it. Go figure.

AND ANOTHER THING. I had a packaged supposedly "delivered" from Amazon on 09.30.2021 only to find out I never received it but whoever marked that it had been delivered.

AND ON TOP OF THAT. For the first 3 or 4 months I lived in this apartment I was receiving the previous resident's mail even after physically going into the post office and speaking with a male worker and to "DORIS" and dropping said mail off and letting them know I was the only person now living at the address. I called/went in there at least 5-6 times for this issue and it finally stopped after a while. Sometimes I still get junk mail for other people but nothing marked first class. I just put it back in the package box that's in the big stack of mailboxes for the apartment complex. (They never collect it and the package compartment door never stays closed. It's broken) Some days no one delivers mail here at all and frequently we have a substitute carrier. I understand that our regular carrier needs time off sometimes and the whole COVID thing but something has to give. Many times they'll mark a package as delivered and then it doesn't actually show up in my mailbox until the next day or day after.

Quality of service has went down as the cost goes up. On Alisha lane in Fairborn we’ve received other peoples mail and never received several pieces of important confidential mail like credit card statements etc…

This place has no accountability and is completely unprofessional. I was at home all morning from 8-12 when it said my package would be dropped off (with signature verification). I stayed right next to the door all morning only to check the apartment mailbox at 12: 30 to see a “sorry we missed you slip”. I called and asked what the deal was and when I could get my package and got the response “well you probably just didn’t hear them knock so you can pick it up tomorrow. ” This isn’t our first incident with the same mail delivery person as they also routinely stuff custom images and prints that we order into a mailbox that is half the size of the package instead of walking 50 yards to our door. Expect no help from the staff at this location and avoid doing business with them whenever possible, I would rather ship an item through UPS or FedEx and that’s saying something.
