We just had our windows replaced and come to find out the previous windows had no insulation in them. The workmanship from Jeff S was incredible. He took the time to meticulously install our windows as well as cleaning up after himself. This was very important because of our two young children. He even took the time to 'play' with my toddler which made his day. The windows really add value, look beautiful, and we cannot wait to see our energy savings. You cannot go wrong with UWD.

From start to finish a over all great experience. Installers were quick and efficient answering all my questions, cleaning up, being respectful of my family and pets while installing threw 2 rain storms.

As a gift from my mom, she asked me to call Universal Windows Direct to get a quote. From there they kind of pushed in order to get the sale, yet we're also understanding. We got 5 windows to replace our upstairs windows (one of which was broke and being held together with duct tape.)

They sent one guy to do the install and he ended up working in the rain today. So far I don't see any problems with the windows. For now I am happy with what I got.

Workers were on time, polite, and very professional. The windows were installed professionally and they look absolutely beautiful.

Matt, our Universal Windows salesperson, was so on-time he was early. He was personable and knowledgable, and we’re excited to get new, high-quality windows installed on our 3rd floor. As a bonus, UW began in The Land.

The installers were very professional. Ryan & Eric and answered my questions during the day. We Used Universal Windows Direct about 4 years ago on my sons house about 4 years ago. The salesman Dave V is very knowledgeable and does a thorough presentation.

My mother ordered windows and a set of exterior french doors from this company. She lives in a condo and has to abide by HOA rules. The salesman said that they have replaced other units and were aware of the HOA rules. The doors had to be a specific style, be a certain color green on the exterior, and metal. There was a delay in getting the doors installed. They were installed at the beginning of November. My mother paid the remainder of the bill at that time, and then noticed they were white instead of green. She fell while trying to reach the leaving workers. She was told that's what you ordered. Later she found out the doors were also vinyl instead of metal and the doors were reversed. The stationary door was in front of the opening storm door and the opening door was in front of the stationary storm door. In addition, the locks for the stationary door were plastic, poor quality, and impossible for her to manage. She lives on the first floor. She did not have the option to keep the door unsecured. Her blinds also would not work because they were magnetic. The door was no longer metal. My mother could not use the room once it got dark because everyone walking by could look in, no privacy. She was repeatedly told that this was what she ordered. Eventually the company acknowledged they were wrong. They sent a trouble shooter out twice to see the problem with no resolution. She finally got the doors installed the first week of September, 10 months later. The doors came white again, are vinyl again, but now are opening the right way. They came without door locks. The installers had to get locks from Home Depot. For almost a year, my mom was unable to use these doors. This was to be a second egress for her. If the unit across from hers caught on fire, she would not have been able to get out. My mother is almost 80yrs old. This company took her money and put her at the bottom of the list, risking her safety, not providing the product they promised, and repeatedly tried to blame her for the problem.

Ben's crew was the best. I was irritated because I got a call on the 16th advising they needed to reschedule for the following day. However, after my installation, I would have waited another week for these guys. Each one of them was very professional and polite. They had a great sense of humor and they all worked really well together. Part of the job was having two huge windows replaced. I heard the guys working together to get them done. Both of them showed concern for the others safety while lowering these massive windows out. I really liked that. As for the job itself, I couldn't be happier. My windows are literally beautiful. No mess left behind. I am beyond impressed with these guys and the job they did. Huge thank you to Ben and his crew!

The salesman lied to us about the length of time it would take for the window to arrive. He said 6-8 weeks which was great. Then I looked at the contract and it said 8-10 weeks. Not so great! I called when it was near delivery and they insisted it was 12-16 weeks. That was very frustrating! I ordered this window the end of March and it finally came the beginning of August. The salesman would not return my text messages or phone calls. When the window finally came there was an issue with wires in the wall which they told me we were good with. So last minute I had to find an electrician to move the wire. Having got that done, the window was finally installed and looks so beautiful. The end product was worth the wait! Still a little angry, but job well done!

We requested an experienced crew since it was a window over the garage and wanted to ensure that the job was handled immaculately. They scheduled Gedas and Fermin (sorry if my spelling is wrong) from Universal Windows Direct to install the double hung window today. I was happy to see my window after 3 months of wait time. They were very professional and got the job done fairly quickly and without any issues.

Gedas answered any questions I had politely and also gave me a demo of how to use the window as a refresher. I was very pleased with the crew. Keep delighting your customers Gedas and Fermin!

Now, I am hoping the window will stand the test of time as assured by the vendor as it is quite pricey. I wish the window prices are made more affordable. Regarding the quality of the window itself, outwardly it looks great. However, I wish to reserve my opinion for now on its durability. Hope to send an update on the window after observing how it is enduring the weather and few months of usage. Keeping fingers crossed.

Ryan from Universal Windows was our installer this morning. He was very kind, polite and answered all of our questions. When we decide on replacing other windows we will definitely use this company again and hopefully Ryan will be available. He earned a 5 star review from us.

Install team was excellent, product-we’ll see, organization-0, wrong windows ordered and forgot a window, the biggest window. No one ever contacted me and 2 weeks later I call them and they don’t have any answers

I would urge anyone planning on updating their windows to consider the following events I endured with Universal Windows.
I went ahead with an order to replace windows in a house I am working on back in Oct 2021. They (before any work was done) immediately charged my bank account the money for the service/product before any work was done. The windows were finally replace in Feb 8th 2022. We all know there was a supply chain issue, and that is fine, however, one of the windows was not installed correctly as it was defective. I have been waiting since then for them to correct this item, had numerous "repair" folks out to verify the window is defective. In the meantime, the last repair folks have left the outside trim off of the window that is defective, and it has been 6 months now. I am more than concerned that the weather has seeped into other areas of the exterior wall over this time. If you are planning to use UWD, ask them about the service should there be a problem. Do not pay them a cent until the job is 100% complete, and if they give you a song and dance about saving money by committing to purchase/pay before any work is done, look elsewhere. Should you need repair/replacement, it will be up to YOU to contact them and do the logistics, both to make sure they are getting the parts/replacement in, as well as to schedule them to come out and replace it. For the amount of money I paid this is quite unacceptable. And If UWD responds to this review with the typical Email us etc etc, I would say, nice try to save face in a public setting, but this has gone on way to long and no one every responded to the last emails, how would that differ today?

The crew was friendly and courteous. They worked diligently to get the job done and done well. When they had a question about what I wanted they asked and if I had a question I felt comfortable asking.

Everything was done professionally. Old windows removed carefully, hauled away. New windows installed with care. Clean up was perfect. My questions were answered to my satisfaction. They made sure to take time to show me how the windows worked after installation. Over all I was impressed professionalism and politeness of the crew.

We ordered windows in March 2022 for install scheduled in May 2022. Our salesman lied about multiple aspects of our windows. We were told we would have a “full tear out” which did not occur. We were also told we would have our bay window replaced, which the installers discovered could not be done. Installers smoked outside our home while all the windows were removed (meaning cigarette smoke directly came into our home). They blasted music and were generally inconsiderate and unprofessional. It is august 2022 and we still do not have our bay window replaced and customer service said there is “nothing they can do. ” Our salesman was a complete liar and only cared about his compensation. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Please please do yourself a favor and go with any other company.

We had a wonderful experience during our estimate process. Investing in the right windows and siding is important to us for not only for cosmetic reasons but energy efficiency and home value as well. Matt R, our representative was definitely an expert in all of those fields. He walked us through the benefits of their product in a professional manor answering all of our (lengthy) questions along the way. We were so impressed and comfortable with Matt and the product he was selling (lifetime guarantee!) that we signed on that evening to have both windows and siding replaced for our home. So far, it has been an A+ process for us. We are looking forward to our installation!
