I am transgender well bot anymore. I just had surgery here and am still healing up, but the staff here is amazing, and the first day I am here, the food was good. 5 stars on everything for me. I have more post ops to do besides bottom surgery and I would like to try and complete them here if I can.
But neatless to say I am here for 7 days and it will go by fast with how on point and fast the team is ready to help. Also the friendliness team I seen yet. I can't wait to come back for top surgery. But so far no complaints from me.

Had surgery set up for today, get told at registration my insurance isn’t covered… (out of net work) so why hadn’t anyone tell me or communicate to my doctor on this!? What a damn joke then Registration had to call the security team bc I did flip out… so they had to get five against one lol
What a joke of a hospital to be honest waste of my time

If you have the opportunity to go literally anywhere else for care, I recommend it. The doctors are great but the administrative staff are beyond useless. I’ve been trying to get a referral sent to another hospital after moving for months now and they can’t seem to send one fax.

Paid my bill in full on 7/27/2023 I was to be given a 25% discount for paying upfront.

The supervisor was named Joann.

9/25/2023 I received a bill from collections asking for an amount which is equal to what was discounted.

After checking my account summary it shows that I still owe money.

Why wasn't I given the 25% discount?

If you value your health please don't go to this ER. Based on separate visits I've done some of the women working the front desk are very rude; it seems like they don't care anymore. I've even had and altercation with a "triage nurse" out of desperation because I was scared and felt like they were ignoring my name on their so called list just to be triaged which is the first step of care; and I understood that you would then be sent back to the waiting area afterwards. I felt so invalidated and that my health concerns were not important to them. My mom's second language is English so out of anger she said the word "disrespectful" in Spanish and the nurse told her "how about you say it to me in English". There was so much more with this person that I had chest pains afterwards, which made things worst. Do yourself a favor and take the longer ride to Fairview Hospital. And to the nurse that said you don't have anything emergent happening; Fairview listened to my concerns and even found the cause of my symptoms which was a rare case of pneumonia and were so prompt with their treatment. Please do better.

Something that concerns me with their ER service delivery set-up. With sky-high unaffordable health care costs most folks avoid the ER unless it's truly serious. At a time when ER dealing with more serious injuries the hospitals are using fewer and fewer medical doctors. NO Actual DOCTORs examine patients with any regularity. Went in for x-ray and CT for a fall on Tuesday, 5-16-23. Wait time was reasonable. But, was assessed by a "Nurse Practioner" (NP) later a "Physician ASSISTANT" (PA). Both are essentially nurses who take extra classes to get the higher paying title. They are NOT licensed doctors. Fine for flushing ear wax or splintering broken finger but not most things in ER today, especially assessments and reading CT SCANS. The presumption is that they are supervised and assisting an On Duty ER DOCTOR - NOT taking the place of a doctor and working independently. Never once did the lazy doctor check in with me, speak to me, or see me - even upon discharge (and it was not very busy). I presume he was catching up on his business portfolio rather than check in on patients. The PA delivered my cat scan results at discharge and not a doctor? This hospital needs to be examined by the State Liscensing Board. Dangerous delivery of services by ill-equipped NON- DOCTORS, just so UH can save a buck.

Worst Hospital I’ve ever seen! Can’t even regulate temperature in rooms knowingly freezing the patients and inexperienced staff refusing to respond to call botton and laughing while patients suffer. Especially those who accept Chemotherapy just to be ignored and destroyed losing their hair and appetite and don’t forget others who wait hours in emergency room!

Hospital visit experiences vary according to what a person is experiencing going into the hospital. Having said that, I was very pleased with the level of care, attention, and comfort that I was treated with during an overnight stay recently. The admitting RN, Lynette, was very comforting and I felt that I was being cared for by a family member. In the morning Natty Friese took over and picked up right where Lynette left off. Nothing but great things to say about them and the rest of the staff there during my brief stay.

Took my grandson to the ER for a dog bite. He was seen immediately and the PA and nurses were awesome. They made a bad situation very bearable. Thankyou!

Never again! I went to the ER for horrible pain. They told me I had a 1mm kidney stone and sent me home with some medication and told me to pass it at home and if it doesn’t pass in a week to see a urologist. My chart updated the stone as 1 cm NOT 1 mm. 3 surgeries later and I am better but not with the help of Parma Hospital. How do you have an ER doctor that doesn’t understand the difference between mm and cm. The pain was unbearable and there was no need to suffer as long as I did because they couldn’t read a chart accurately.

My husband had a fall and now has multiple fractures in his pelvis. He is getting excellent care. The doctors, nurses, aides and the entire staff on the 6th floor are excellent!
