University Hospitals Rehabilitation Hospital, Beachwood OH

I have been here for a week and leave in the morning. The progress I have made amazed me. I had therapy 3 hours à day which although difficult at tmes it was definitely worth it. The entire staff was incredible I can not Thank them enough. I highly recommend this Rehabilitation Hospital for the excellent caring staff

My wife was there for 3+ weeks after suffering a pretty severe stroke. She had been in ICU and the Neuro ward for 2 weeks prior. She is now continuing her rehab from home.

UH Rehab Beachwood is the kind of place where miracles happen. The entire team- from Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, to the nurses, to the therapists, and the administrators- are the kinds of people you'd hope to meet when your loved one is in a tough place.

The transformation of my wife from when she entered to her discharge was remarkable. It gives me realistic hope that her recovery will a great one.

Look up "caregiver", "advocate", and "empathy" in the dictionary and it would not be a surprise to find a reference to the UH Beachwood Rehab Hospital.

All employees care about about the patient. Therapy was great and they are concerned about the safety of the patient. They are always aware of everything going on in the gym. They show great teamwork helping one another. Nurses were caring and ensured I was comfortable. Pleasant atmosphere. The case manager arranged everything for discharge.

I had a great stay at the hospital, I was there for 5 days, everyone was professional, kind and careing, and the food was good

5 plus stars! The entire staff has been a dream to work with. My dad suffered a severe stroke and has been here for acute therapy for 3 weeks. Everyone from the reception desk, Dr Thompson, Rachel the case worker, the therapy team, the aides and the nurses are all amazing. They are kind, hard working, and they really do care about the patients. I will give more details when I have time but I'm also so grateful to this facility and to the liaison, Joe Holz, who worked with my dad's insurance company to get him approved for care here.

My mother in law was here at the Harvard facility for 9 days. She asked me to say she enjoyed her stay. The entire staff was professional, friendly and helpful. During OT and PT she learned a lot and appreciated the help getting her back home. She also said the food was good and always hot and on time. From the family of Mary Yarbrough, thank you for providing our mom with excellent care and customer service.

The doctors, nurses and therapists were thorough and professional throughout my stay. I'm glad I made the decision to choose this facility.

Everything was clean and everyone was friendly. Chris and Courtney were especially good at encouraging me in therapy. Dr. Thompson was very nice and good bedside manner. He knows what he is doing. Nursing staff was kind. Rachel was very helpful with arranging my discharge. I had a great stay. Thank you all.

This was the best place. The nurses were great and the aides were off the hook, especially Tracee. Therapy was good. I loved the gym and was able to walk again. This is the place to go if you had a stroke. Dr. Thompson has the best bedside manner. Rachel was very helpful with making it a smooth discharge to home.

I had a great stay at the UH Rehab Hospital in the Beachwood location. The doctor, the nursing staff and the nurse's aides were very attentive and patient and personable. Can't say enough about the whole therapy staff, OT & PT were just wonderful. They helped so much in my rehab progress. Even the administrative staff, case mgr and quality mgr were very responsive to my questions/concerns. Thank you ALL! If I have to suggest one area that needs improvement is the response time after buzzing for help. There had been a couple of times when I waited an hour. But overall I would recommend this place to anyone who needs rehab.

Therapy for my mom was phenomenal! Curtis and Elissa were super people. Day nurses were so friendly. Lots of work but if you want to recover this is the place!

The care and therapy I received at this hospital was superb! After having a stroke, I went to rehab at this Hospital. A few days after I arrived, I had an extremely serious medical emergency. Dr. Thompson and the staff immediately recognized my problem and got be to the UH emergency room for care. Having a doctor on-sight allowed for a quick diagnosis and response that most likely saved my life! A week later I returned to the Rehab Hospital (on a stretcher) and 13 days after that I was able to walk out the front door using a walker. The therapy/care staff I worked with were professional, cautious, but also allowed me to progress as fast as I was capable. I was very impressed.

This rehab hospital is great. Everyone I interfaced with were caring, kind and professional.

My only complaint is that I found the bed very uncomfortable. But then, what hospital bed is comfortable.

I just love the way they treated me and the other patients with respect and the care that they showed all of their patients is amazing and I really appreciate all the staff they deserve a trophy for being a fantastic team of doctor’s and nurse’s and aid’s Thank you all so very much.
