Brewery Urban Artifact reviews
20This is a must visit place regardless if you like brews or not and if you like historic repurposed architecture definitely put it on your list. Now back to the brews that are like no other and are explosion of flavors from a fresh ripe fruit picked straight from the vine to grandma's secret recipes. I don't know what kind of voodoo they're practicing but keep it up because it's working.
I have yet to be to the brewery, but I absolutley love Teak Tropical. I first had it on draft from HopCat in Grand Rapids, MI. I was sure I wouldnt find it in cans up here, so I told my sister to buy some at Kroger in Cincinnati, OH where the brewing company is. The taste of this beer is the closest I have experienced to 18th century german tart beer. It took me 3 years to find something with that right taste in a can that I could take home. LOVE IT! I'll be in Cincy at the end if Jan and will be sure to visit the vrewery and get more cans yo take home to michigan.
Urban Artifact is probably the best brewery in Ohio, and very possibly the best sour brewery in the nation.
Gadget is their core year-round offering in my opinion-a nearly perfect raspberry/blackberry fruit tart with a wonderful balance of lightly sweet and tart.
They brew with actual fruit instead of extracts, and the flavors show. There's a lovely body and smoothness to the beer without being thick or heavy. Their various seasonal variations are almost all brilliant.
Highly recommended!
This is the place to go for sour beers in Cincinnati! We got 4 flights and there was only one we didn't love.
I love Urban Artifact! Such a vibe, amazing beer options, and fantastic staff. Special shout-out to Liam, one of the absolute best beertenders out there! They were fantastic, especially with my very indecisive husband, and we could talk to them forever! Will be back soon!
5 stars if you clean the ac diffuser above the men's urinals. Freaking loved the blueberry banana freshie
This is the place to go for sours.
I drove all the way from South bend IN
just to try some of my favorites on tap!
Plus some stuff that isn't at my favorite liquor store yet.
I only wish they had bar food. Still 5/5 for sour beers!
Urban Artifact out of Cincinnati, OH makes the best sour beers that exist. I know, that’s a bold statement, but I’m right. If sour beers aren’t your style, at least give them a try. I’d recommend the gadget, but to each their own. I enjoy all of their beers and the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is a beautiful old church which is something to see. It’s also located diagonally from Humble Monk is a phenomenal brewery!
My favorite Brewery! The Midwest Fruit tarts are incredible and everyone there is so friendly! Such a great environment. Highly recommend!
Went to see Devin The Dude and had a great time. He sang all the classics. The concert room was small, which made for a more enjoyable experience. They had non alcoholic brews, which was nice to have that choice since I don't drink.
Normally we are ipa drinkers. The bartender offered us samples of their tarts if we were willing. They only brew tarts/fruits. We tried several and were very pleasantly surprised. Very good! Even bought 2 4 packs to go!
Accidentally showed up just in time for a comedy show last night and it was great. The new astronaut food is out of this world flavorful. If you like sour beer Urban Artifact is an absolute must stop.
I had my wedding at Urban Artifact and it was amazing. Urban Artifact is the best deal in Cincinnati. Elizabeth the event coordinator was incredibly helpful especially as the wedding date got closer. Sam who took over day of, was amazing and made sure was in order. We hired Devin who is the music maestro of Urban Artifact to DJ the wedding for frankly a steal and he absolutely crushed it. If you are worried that Urban Artifact only has sour beers don't be because 1.they are amazing. 2. Liquor is available (get the Kentucky mule and spicy margarita) 3. They had Narragansett available which is just a basic larger - but also the beer from jaws so that's cool. If you are looking for a wedding space at least go and look at Urban you will not regret it.good beer served by good people.
Friend of my drag me into this place, which we both don't care for it. Beer is mediocre, the food ugh the burp can't stop and overall isn't that good.
Although you enter off the street, the bar area has a speakeasy feel due to the opposite wall steps that lead up to an outdoor patio.
Crazy cool taplist if you are into sours and tarts, and a serviceable bourbon or two behind the bar if you aren't.
Didn't ask about the food deal, I don't know if they serve it or if you can bring your own. A good idea as many of these brews are so damn tasty, you forget about the punch they pack.
Very laid back vibe, and soundtrack.
Delicious fresh real fruit beers! Some of my favorite sours I’ve ever tried! Highly recommend the The Tumi, the yellow mombin Midwest fruit tart
Support small local businesses! If you like fruity beer, sours, and tarts this is the place to go. Unique and fun environment with games to play at your table. Pizza is pretty good. You can even get married in the church and come into the bar for a celebration!
This was spot has been on our brewery list for a while and boy it didn't disappoint. The bartending staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is a 10. Very fun and laid back spot with delicious beers and cocktails. We will definitely come back in the future, hopefully when it's warm so we can sit outside and enjoy a pizza.
Good beer selection accompanied with a great atmosphere. Goose is one of the most helpful and personable bar tenders I have had the pleasure to meet in a good while. He always wears a smile and is good at his work. Be sure to stop in and say hello!
They've started having their dino beers on tap! Love that they also have tap room only options.
3/12/22 update - Super excited they've started selling out of their cellar. Options to try their limited releases from earlier years and compare to current. Love what they are doing.
