Urban Bulk Foods reviews
23Great neighborhood find! Stuffed full of spices at great prices like you would find in Amish country but closer to home. There's candy fixings, flour, honey, fruit fillings and so much more. Worth the visit if you're a home chef.
The items that they didn't have they said they were ordered with was the red clover the knuckles and the Goldenrod and I will do that prior to my next event customer service was good though they were also out of the tea balls
Great selection, very convenient, very friendly and knowledgeable employees! A great local option.
Loved this unique shop right here in Lakewood. Great assortment. Great buys.
A taste of Amish shopping right here.
Very impressed with the selection. For a small shop they have a bit of everything; soy curls, nutritional yeast, pepper jelly, Cleveland Tofu- All reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.
They were very polite at this store the young lady that was working that day the herbs work great.
This place has some of the most eclectic ingredients I've found outside of a rural fair. If you're an aspiring herbalist, a cook looking for dried porcinis and shittakes, a Neville Longbottom fan, or just a baker looking for a great variety of flours, you can find ingredients here, and everything seems reasonably priced.
I love this place. I get so many spices, flour, herbs, candy, syrup and so much more here. Great prices, all high quality, and variety is unmatched. The gentleman there is always super friendly, helpful and kind. I find Urban Bulk to be a treasure.
This is such a sweet place to get Amish eggs, cheese, bacon & butter. They also have any spice, salt, flour you can possibly think of. Ooooh and they have candy too! Love this place!
Great place to get amish country bulk food items without the crowds, friendly help, clean store lots of goodies!
I always find everything on my list, as well as new things to try, all at fantastic prices. You couldn't ask for a more inviting store or nicer staff. I wish I could give them 10 stars!
This is one of my favorite spots. He has a variety of herbs and will get the ones that he doesn't have too better serve you
Great Quality very reasonably Priced. Owners are very nice and willingly give great service and very knowledgeable about product. If they don't have what you are looking for. They will order.
Urban bulk is modeled after the Amish way.
They buy bulk and break it down to inexpensive packages. They have milk with the cream cap in glass bottles and many other delights. The powdered soups are very good. I buy all my many flours there.
Love, love, love. I love to cook and bake, Urban Bulk has the biggest variety of fresh flours, Amish butter, eggs, herbs and spices. Makes cooking fun!
This is such a fun unique store in Lakewood. Love Amish bulk food stores but don't love the drive? Right here in the city you can stop in and get all your favorites from the Amish Country style bulk food store without the drive. You will also always find some unique extras as well from various local craftsman like homemade gingerbread kits at Christmas or locally made soap. My favorite store in Lakewood it is a MUST see if you haven't been before.
Tiny treasure trove of bulk packaged foods. Dried beans, sprinkles, various sugars, flours, muxes, much more. Amish cheeses, some meats, eggs. Paradise for bakers with many hard-to-find items. Reasonable prices, friendly staff.
Urban Bulk Foods fills a grocery niche that was needed on Madison Avenue. It's perfect for running in to get enough flour for a cake, to get bacon and eggs, milk, and butter and cheese, or a mix for breads, whether whole grain, gluten free, quick or risen. The proprietors are friendly people who also supply fresh veggies in season from their garden, and if they don't sell a particular item, they can direct you to a local merchant that does!
This place is a local treasure- pretty much any dry good staple can be found, plus a lot of specialty flours and other stuff I haven't heard of. Good coffee and tea selection. I highly recommend this place.
