The Manager Mr Abston has been wonderful. He fixed my Dyson vacuum and sold me parts for my Riccar vacuum at a very affordable price.

The older gentleman that helped me was very professional and pleasant when I dropped off our vacuum for repair evaluation/estimate. He called me the next day with the information (very timely!). He told me that the drive mechanism was broken and that the nozzle needed was no longer available. There was nothing that could be done; I needed to purchase a new vacuum and he had some he would be happy to show me. All very polite and matter of fact. To confirm his diagnosis, I took the same vacuum to another local shop and that gentleman, without even turning the vacuum on, told me what part I needed, gave me the part number and 800 number to order it. He showed me how to take the old one off and snap the new one on. Within 2 weeks, I had repaired the vacuum myself without any trouble. If I had gone with the first recommendation, I would have unnecessarily spent the money for a new vacuum. This was months ago and the old vacuum is still running great with the new part. Nice man, but incorrect diagnosis and advice. Be careful!

Jim has been incredibly helpful. I purchased my first Riccar in February 2019 from Jim. He walked through the different features of each model and I was able to find the perfect one for my house filled with 6 dogs. I've used the vacuum several times a week for the last year, and it has been great. I had an issue after about 6 months, and Jim was quick to help and resolve the problem. I would highly recommend visiting Jim for your next vacuum!

Jim is such an amazing guy. I hated to use the vacuum until I bought my new one from him I love my new vacuum and I will keep returning to the store for anything I need for the vacuum. Vacuum concepts is one of the best stores. Thank you jim

Total excellence in this service experience! First contact via phone was professional and courteous. Drop-off, issue identification, fix and return of my vacuum cleaner was all same-day - in a matter of hours. Jim Abston was terrific throughout - explaining potential issues as I turned it in, and then fixing only what was necessary and not gouging me for extra unnecessary fixes. Jim is a very straight forward tell it how it is kind of guy. You can love it or hate it but he saved me money. If I ever have an issue with my dyson that I can’t fix, I know I’ll be bringing it to Jim. Thank you!

I have purchased 3 Riccars in the last 5 months for each business I run. These vacuums are not cheap, but they are worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. As I have purchased these I can see the difference in each location. Jim has been AMAZING! He gave me a tutorial and explained why this was the best machine for our business and he has kept me as a client repurchasing. He is always friendly, professional, and has the heart of a teacher. I work in sales and I can spot from a mile away the difference between a professional who is set on moving product and one who is going to sell me the best machine for me and my needs. Just bought a new Riccar vacuum for my wife even though our old one is still running after 20 years. If you are in the market for a vacuum and you want expert advice and service at reasonable prices, then shop here. Jim the manager will go above and beyond to make you happy. Plenty of top quality brands to choose from and great service. Whatever you do, don' buy a cheap vacuum from a big box store or the internet - it will be in the garbage in a year.

A few months ago, our Riccar was in a hell of a shape. The gentleman at Vacuum Concepts was able to not only repair the vacuum but also make it look almost brand new again. It has been working great. This is by far the best repair of a vacuum I have ever received. Whether you need a repair done or are interested in purchasing a new vacuum, forget the Walmart’s and other box stores and see these guys. You are treated like a customer and not a number.

Highly recommend Vacuum Concepts! Brought our Riccar in for repair in Kettering and Jim's service was incredible. He got it fixed and cleaned up within a few hours explaining "People need their vacuums. They can't afford to wait. " Great service from someone who really cares about what he does.

Update: after my initial review I received a call from MV Sweepers. The same gentleman who originally assisted me asked that I bring my Dyson back into the store so that they could make sure I was fully satisfied.
I brought my sweeper back in and discussed the problems that I had after brining the sweeper home initially, it had not picked up minor debris nor pet hair and I could still tell it wasn’t working at 100% performance.
MV Sweeper serviced the vacuum to correct the initial problem at no cost.
I dropped my Dyson off on Saturday and it was ready to be picked up on Monday evening. After the second service on my Dyson I was pleased to discover that upon my first test run at home it was picking up like new, pet hair and crumbs which it had not picked up after I initially brought it home from MV Sweepers.
I greatly appreciate them reaching out to me to make things right by correcting the initial problem.

Initially I went to MV Sweepers in Kettering bc my local vacuum shop doesn’t service Dysons.
The man who assisted me was very polite and knowledgeable. He gave me a ballpark price and said he would call if there was something greater that needed repair and cost would increase.
Vacuum was repaired same day for price previously discussed. The gentleman shared his opinions on my Dyson, which were all reasonable, and pointed out some of the pros and cons. He introduced me to a sweeper they sold in store and explained the pros and cons and why it would last longer and he a good investment. I thanks him for all the information and left.
When I got home however I was still experienceing the same problem that I took my Dyson in to have repaired. There was no suction in the head of the vacuum. I could use the hose and attachments but the vacuum itself was still just pushing around dirt and hair on my bare floor and didn’t seem to be sucking up much of anything on the carpet.
So I took my Dyson back to MV Sweepers, spike to the same gentleman, who said it sss performing correctly for him after the initial repair. He did a test with some granules on the carpet in store. It took several passes to pick up the granules. I told him that I was sure that there was still something wrong with the suction bc it had always picked up very well before and I knew that what I was getting now was little to no suction.
The gentlemen said that the amount of suction was what was to be expected from my Dyson and that the floating head was a part of the problem with pushing dirt and debris around, as this was a poor design feature. I knew that while there may be some truth to that, my vacuum had done a good job in the past. It wasn’t even picking up pet hair anymore. But the MV Sweeper associate seemed to only offer the answer of “that’s all you’re going to get”
So reluctantly I took the vacuum home and tried again with no success. I used the hose and attachments to suck up piles of hair and dirt that I swept up with a broom. After about 2 hours of cleaning around the house using this method, I noticed the motor starting to become less and less loud. And suddenly my vacuum just sort of faded to a stop. Now it isn’t even turning on. I have check hoses and filters and the head to find no significant blockage.
I am not blaming MV sweepers, however I have paid $90 for a repair that didn’t repair my vacuum and even after bringing it back hoping the issue would be corrected at no additional cost I was given no solution. And now I have a completely non operational vacuum.
Most likely will not return.

Went to buy Kirby vacuum bags. I called first, he had them. He gave me the part #. Walked in, Jim directed me to the vacuum bags, suggested a new belt. I bought one, you were right, Thanks Jim
