Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Columbus OH

More so a cautious review than anything, as i’ve had my oil change done at this location a couple of times with no problems. But on 8/17/2020 that was not the case. A bit unprofessional work done to make me believe they did not do everything correctly. Forewarning I was on the phone at the time but I can still pay attention to what they’re doing. One, I still had possession of my keys, typically that’s taken and put away in their little black box but nope that was with me the entire time. Secondly it took 3 people to snap a air filter back in which took a long time at that, and lastly supposedly my battery check was “ok” but it’s 8/28/2020 and my battery is completely dead. I’ve called and spoke to someone on the phone and asked of it was “normal” for a battery to die after 2 weeks of being checked “okay” and was told it could be an error and I respect that. But I took it to two places. Advance auto parts and auto zone and both places confirmed it was a bad battery that needed replaced as it was 5 years old.so there it makes me believe whoever checked my battery didn’t really check it, or if their system was reading it an error. Regardless if it was two weeks ago or now I would have still needed a new battery, I just would have much appreciated it if I was told so before it died.

Went in last week and wanted someone to top my oil off. The gentleman was nice and checked my oil and stated that it was fine and I had a decent amount of oil in my car. Not to mention I was getting an oil change the next day. He also had another person who was helping him and he checked my other fluids in my car and also put some air in my tires. I told him that my tires needed to be set at 33. After leaving my tire light immediately came on. My tire light hasn’t been on in months. The next day I took it to my mechanic and he stated your tires were set to 31 & that explains why your light came on. The workers were nice but won’t be returning to this location.

Very fast and efficient changing the oil in my company van have been here multiple times always friendly

Amazing service! I didn't get out of the vehicle, Everything was done with me behind the wheel. They are really professional on what they do. I made a full synthetic oil change for my SUV and they check Everything that needs attention on my vehicle. My next visit will be soon to make another service to my SUV, Thanks for your professionalism. Fully Recommended.

The guys here went way beyond what customer service is. They were more than helpful in a bad situation that we ran into with our jeep. I can't say enough about this place except that with so many options in this area no one should go anywhere else.

My 8 year old son requested we leave this review. He noticed the staff was working very hard despite the 105' heat advisory and still have a long day ahead. Great work guys!

Dedication and honesty of the current staff at this particular loction keeps me and my family returning and referring. I'm hard on my vehicles but the staff here is always helpful, on point, and make sure I haven't left out any important maintenance that I otherwise would. And they're nice to my dogs that are really obnoxious so I'm sold.

I love the military precision of the way they run the place. I’m also very impressed with the way they help new arrivals line up on the bay that will likely be the next available. It’s not cheap because my car takes 9 quarts of pure synthetic, but it’s half the cost of going to the dealer.

This location usually has very little waiting. The folks working are super friendly. This is the best location!

Got an oil change from this place out of the blue. I don't like other people putting oil in my car for the simple fact that the last time I was suppose to have it done it was put in. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and asked what I would like. I got an oil change but they filled my tires and my washer fluid as a bonus. They told me that me and my dad's oil changes weren't done right as we had only snugged the filter and plug up they instantly corrected it for me and then told me my reccomended services and when I said I didnt want then I wasnt forced into getting it done. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and all in all ill probably will just have this place do my oil rather than doing it myself.
