13Everytime I have been to the store or called about an item everyone is always helpful and too notch. Today I called about in stock muzzleloaders and Frank at the firearms desk was extremely helpful. Not only did he go and search out what was in stock but also gave me prices over the phone. Needless to say I will be there first thing in the morning.
Grew up in Cincinnati, never knew this place existed, found it on a recent trip back to visit family. I will definitely shop there everytime I come back to the area
No problem with Vance. Good service, the guys know what they’re doing. Great inventory on most things, guns, ammo, accessories. The ammo is expensive, but they do have it.
John helped me with an out of state sale. Was a very good experience, won't hesitate to deal with them again.
Ordered item online but when completed the process got message saying shopping error and logged out for security reasons. Less than minute later got Email saying My card was charged but no email from Vance with order number or conformation for order. Logged back into vance and no order anywhere but they sure charged my card. Phone number given with error message was to Lebanon store and associate found order and told me information for the order but I had to call online department to see what happened. Next day after 1 hour trying to call after they open finally someone answered instead of machine saying goodbye. They said they couldn't find order but did find charge on my card. Only answer given was up to ten business days to refund card but they sure charged my card for NO order. Company policy.
Visited for the first time today! Nice place! Bought some ammo and seen a friend. Will definitely go back!
I wanted to buy a Winchester Wildcat for cheap target practice and plinking. I asked the salesman to see the gun and he gave it to me and while I was discussing it with my friend he said it was a piece of junk and not worth buying and tried to get me to purchase a Ruger 10/22. This embarassed me in front of my friend.
I researched the Wildcat and the Ruger and understand both guns well. Either the salesman is full of it or Vance's is selling junk, not sure which is correct, but they lost out on a sale and I will not be back. Don't need to spend my money at a place that is going to insult me and what I want to purchase from them.
Update: Went down the road to Rural King and they had the gun for less and didn't criticize the firearm I wanted to purchase so I purchased it from them. Also had similar quality ammunition for less so I picked some up.
The archery team at vance outdoors went above and beyond to help me get set up for deer season between setting up my new bow for me and setting up my wife’s bow and getting her the correct arrows much appreciated
Called to check availability on a product and the voice recording told me to use the website. I find the product on the website that says in stock. When I arrive at the store they say it says in stock because they still have a display which they wouldn’t sell.
So I was at the Lebanon store to buy some 20ga.shot shells for squirrel hunting. Found some and when I went to check out the lady cashier asked me if it was my first time buying ammo from there. Then she wanted a phone number and my name and a driver’s license. When I asked what for she was very rude with a.bad attitude said I will just put in your first name. Really. I am almost 60 years old and quite obviously old enough. That place really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Randy, Eric and Caleb were wonderful to work with! Super knowledgeable and took alot of time to answer my questions. These guys rock!
Oct 27 2021 I placed on online order. When I completed order I got an error message and was logged out for security reasons and recieved no order number or conformation code but received the email saying my credit card was charged. Logged back into Vance but the was no order in my account. I called the store and was told by an associate he found the order in system and I needed to call the online department the next day. Next day I called online department and spoke to associate and was first told there was no order and she would have to check with accounting to see if I was charged. She called back and said they found the charge on my card but still couldn't find an order so they would refund my card account in 10 business days but with their company policy 10 business days are actually about 18 days. Checked my card this morning (Oct 29) and charge is on card and not pending which means I am paying interest for nothing. No other way to purchase item was given. Called the store back and different associate looked up and found my order in system and that I would need to call online department, geez. Called online back and was given rude run around and she can't find order, doesn't care I'm being charged interest for nothing, tech might look into what went wrong. Associates in stores I had spoken to all said there were problems with placing orders online and with there phones. The replies from someone on negative comments go unanswered and are just company attempt to look like they have customer service. From now on I will take advice from vance online department and take my business elsewhere.
