ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES IVE HAD IN A VET. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.we brought two of our dogs in for stomach issues and all they could care about was worrying about the dogs getting spayed/neutered.they were more concerned about that than anything.one of our dogs is pregnant, and all they could care about was getting her spayed and not the actual reason we were there.if it wasn’t for “breeding” they wouldn’t be in business.hands down the worst clinic we have ever been to.
DO NOT TAKE ANY ANIMAL HERE

Saw in a reply to another review that they like to see their clients walk out happy and if not they would like to discuss further. Well that didn’t happen with us and bringing our dogs in. Dr was not informative on the issue of why we were there. More concerned about getting them spayed/neutered. Over charged us on the bill. Called to discuss the bill, and the receptionist said she would have to talk to the hospital manager and would get back with me in 24-48 hrs. Ridiculous. And the diagnosis of our dogs? NONE was given so we have no idea. They asked if they could send the records to our regular vet and then delete us from their database. We said YES. What a way to treat new clients/patients. DO NOT take your pets there.

We have been clients for over 20 years. We’ve had 3 dogs cared for here. I even worked here for a time. Today, my husband brought our current dog in. After the appointment, he tried to pay with CareCredit as usual. Suddenly, my husband was treated as if they didn’t know him because his name wasn’t on the CareCredit. A new policy, they said, that we were not made aware of. They allowed my husband to leave as long as he gave his social security number (not even sure that’s legal) & some other identification, but not before making a big deal if everything & embarrassing him as much as possible. I will have to go out of my way to come over & pay this bill on my way to work. This leaves us questioning whether or not this is going to be the place we continue to choose for our pets needs. You need to do better with your client relations. I’m extremely disappointed.

VCA Sylvania is a safe, secure, and clean office. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. From the front desk to the assistants and the veterinarians. I'm happy taking my pet to them.

The staff at VCA has provided excellent care for my puppy so far, including emergency surgery to remove a sewing needle. They’ve been nothing but kind & caring. I’m truly confused by reviews saying they’re out to get you with the cost because while vet care is pricey (as should be expected anywhere), they’ve been very upfront about all costs.

Very clean and nice. Would have liked larger play area for the 2 cats. A mix - up on what I wanted for both cats, according to bill only one cat seemed to receive the services wanted but I may not have made myself clear. Would use again for the boarding services.

This place does thing that other places say are impossible. The amazing people who work here ACTUALLY LOVE animals and this isn't just another job to them. My baby girl got pyometra and on Friday the emergency vet wanted a huge amount of money which I didn't have at all. So he said my baby only has 24 to 48 hours to live. Well my baby held on till Monday and this amazing place saved my doghter️ she is back to her normal self and doing remarkable well Thank you so much everyone there for treating my dog like she was theirs️

After my baby kitten had showed signs of being sick I called VCA. They made time to immediately see her. It's been about 3 months and we are apart of the kitty care club. I highly recommend it. It saved us over $700 so far

Would not recommend this clinic for your pet or employment. The doctors are unprofessional and egotistical, they speak ill of their client's and their pets, not only amongst themselves, but to other clinics. They are extremely unprofessional. There was an incidence where a cat passed away during surgery, the cat wasn't labeled for cremation properly and the owner never received their cat, even though they paid for private cremation. After the owner called, and questioned why she hadn't gotten her cat back, another cat that hadn't been labeled was found in the freezer, and even though that cat was not this owners cat at all, the body was sent in under the other cats name to cover the clinics mistake, the owner was lied to, and given ashes for a cat that was not hers to appease her. All management and staff were aware of this situation, especially Dr. Emily Grant and the hospital manager Kate Neil. It was brought to corporate's attention by more then one employee and nothing was done. Brooke Lynch, if you’re reading this, you should contact an attorney, because those ashes don’t belong to your cat.

My cat needed surgery for a swallowed sowing needle and they did everything they could to help my cat and she is alive and much better. I never have issues when I take my animals here for anything. Would recommend. They also take Care credit which is nice.

We woke up Thursday to our pup being in severe pain. I called and they got us in on an emergency basis even though we had never been there before. (Our vet was out sick) We unexpectedly eneded up having to put our boy down unfortunately. They were amazing and patient with us. We were so heart broken and they let us take our time and say our goodbyes and never rushed us. Would definitely recommend them.

Always clean and service was fairly fast. Unfortunately, I needed and paid for nail trim. Not happy with the nail trim. Clippers must be very dull. Will need another trim less than 2 weeks. I normally can go at least 4-6 weeks.

I’ve had 2 animals cremated here. Both of those went exceptionally well.
We decided to bring our new rescues in for check up and shots. This was during the “pandemic “ we were not allowed in with the dogs and upon the end of appointment, we were surprised with a bill over 1000.00. My wife was quite taken back by the total.

I do give her some blame for not asking about more detailed pricing. But at the same time just as frustrated with them for not going over it prior to doing everything.

But hey. It is what it is. We live and learn.

So that brings us to today…
I call in asking about dental cleanings. She looks up my account and says “ I see you haven’t been in here in over a year” you will need to come in and have a checkup before I can give you pricing.

I state I’m just looking to get general pricing (to see if I can even afford it) she repeats herself. So, that ended the call.

So long story short. Always ask for pricing. Wait.that’s right. They won’t give it to you.

I do not align with VCA's values. I had to move to another vet location where I am better taken care of. Thanks. I give this business two paws down.
