Vida's Plant Based Butcher, Columbus OH

The potato salad tasted like the salad I used to eat growing up! I've been looking for some good vegan potato salad for so long and I finally found it. I liked the hot ham and cheese, I thought it would be gooey from the sounds of it, but I guess they meant spicy, which it was not too me because I have a high tolerance. I love the ingredients and it was good. The mac and cheese has white cheese and was just ok. I put the cheese steak on a hoagie bun the next day and liked it like that. I had a easy online checkout and my food was waiting with easy access by the door when I picked it up. The little interaction I had with the staff was good. I liked that they have deli meat to buy in a case, I wish they had cheese too.

Really nice eatery! Customer service was pleasantly great! I loved the nice clean environment. The food was very flavorful. I highly recommend.

One of the best vegan eateries in Columbus. A small, hole-in-the-wall location tucked beside a busy intersection. Vida’s not only has amazing hot and cold sandwiches, but is a butcher in the literal sense. They’ll cut you a slice off an entire hunk of “meat” right in front of you. Their cheese options are fantastic as well. The customer service is excellent and the employees are always helpful to new customers. I highly recommend this eatery!

I ordered cheesesteak with potato salad. I love their bread, soft and held up to ingredients. I believe meat is Seitan which I did enjoy chewing it. Flavor was really nice. So, they used chopped Seitan for cheesesteak, cooked on the grill. Pretty good sandwich. Mustard potato salad very delicious and I usually don’t like other peoples potato salad except my wife or mothers.

4 stars earned which is high for my reviews. I didn’t get any gooey cheesiness in my cheese (V) steak but I’ll order it again it’s really good.

I haven't actually tasted the food yet, but everything else about the place I love. Very cheeky little shop with a nice vibe and cool young fellas behind the counter. I'm sure I'll visit again especially if the food is tasty!

My daughter goes to dialysis to remove toxins and I was trying to explain that to the restaurant that bread this burnt is toxic that’s why I order “lightly toasted “

Sloppy Joe was great! … onions a little chard but I was able to pick those out with no problem. I love the fact that they still put my food outside of the door for pick up instead of refusing to make the sandwich’s after closing thank you so much!

This is my happy place! Always smells and taste so amazing. The brand and product is beyond what you would already expect.

Thanksgiving feast: vegan roast was not great but sides, especially mac n cheese, were very good. But grateful to have this option.

I ABSOLUTELY Love this establishment! There's so much effort and love in what's being served out of this restaurant. The food is delicious and the owner/staff is extremely helpful! I highly recommend this Lovely place!

My first time going here I'd definitely go back. I went in with an open mind with a couple coworkers one of then is vegan. I got the plant based philly. It was tasty I just recommend having them cook it a little longer to add some crispiness to it.

Owners were very kind and polite, the food was delicious, the place is clean and nice. Definitely coming back!

Got the philly cheese steack version of this place (clearly different from original recipy) and it was really really good. Surely going back!

Potato salad had a lot of mustard (possibly Dijon mustard) wasn’t a fan, the ribs were pretty close to real ribs. The turkey sandwich had fresh cilantro on which was good.

We had the closing time confused and walked in 5 minutes before close and the staff were very patient with our last second purchases. The deli meats are been amazing. Try the corned beef!

This vegan butcher was nothing short of amazing. Walking in the gentleman behind the counter were extremely welcoming and very very friendly. He helped us by giving us recommendations on what to order and I honestly could have ordered one of everything off of the menu because what we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Reuben, the Philly cheezsteak, the vegan chicken salad sandwich and the turk'y horseradish special that they had along with their redskin potato salad were finger licking good. I know when I am back in Columbus I will definitely be making another visit to this place and probably will visit more frequently.

Employee who waited on me seemed quite annoyed. I asked if anything was gluten free and was told the macaroni salad and the sloppy joe are gf. I asked if sloppy joe was made with tvp. Employee said it was made with wheat gluten and seitan. So I just left because that makes no since if something is gluten free.

Great vegan option in CBUS! I have only visited once so far (yesterday) and it was a wonderful experience. Top notch customer service! Definitely worth a try - I know I will be back!

SO good! Amazing vegan meat option. The club sandwich was delicious The strawberry havarti cheese was very unique.

Great first experience. Got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich (pictured), the potato salad, and the grapefruit slushie. All excellent. The sandwich was made to order on the grill, and very filling and flavorful.will be back for sure.

I first heard about a "vegan butcher" opening and thought that it had to be a joke. Like what an oxymoron right? But I went on opening day and NOPE its the real deal lol. Its basically a deli with plant-based cold cuts, sandwiches, sides and drinks for sale and hot sandwiches made to order. They also have a cute outdoor patio to sit and eat at. I have heard about it being crowded but the two times I've gone there's only been one or two groups ahead of me and the service was quick. I tried to the sloppy joe when I went on opening day which was pretty good, and then today I had the hot ham & cheese with a side of beans which was GREAT. The staff were very friendly as well, and prices aren't bad. I just wish they were open until a bit later! Their hours almost perfectly match my work schedule!
