I had a great experience. Been shopping around every year for the best value of my insurance and I feel I have finally found my port of call for all my vision needs going forward.

This past Friday I went to a doctor's appointment not to Vision works but a doctor's appointment scheduled for 10am. I saw employees going into an entrance near the doctor's office at about 7 minutes before 10am. The sign said go around to the Vision works entrance. Visionworks did not open until 10. I went back to the doctor"s entrance where I saw another patient in the waiting area. The person behind the desk was saying they do not open until 10. Mind you at this time it has to be 5 until 10. I thought it was odd that a doctor's office did not let 2 patients in 5 minutes before their appointment. At that time a enployye of the doctor's office questioned why they were not letting me in, unlocked a lockbox and let me in. It has to be 2 or 3 minutes before 10 by the time I sat across from the other patient in the waiting area when Monica from Visionworks came back from the front of their store telling me that I am not not be be in the building until 10. I was trying to tell her that I was here to see the doctor and an employee of the doctor's office let me in. The whole time she was glaring at me not listening and threatening to kick me out for being in the building before 10. It has to be 10 by this time when Sheila's opened the doctor's door and insisted I leave or she was going to call security. She said that she is there general manager of Visionworks and she did not want a customer like me. I asked her for a number for corporate as she ignored my request pretending to call someone. Needless to say I left. She seemed to be welding her power. I have never seen such treatment. She needs to be fired. No thank you. I called customer service Friday in regards to being kicked out of the doctor's office at Visionworks at Ridge Park in Brooklyn Ohio by Monica M, gm of Visionworks. They are supposed get back to me. I think if she had not been involved or asked questions before attacking me it would have been a better result. An employee of the doctor's office let me in.

Never do I ever feel comfortable going to get my eyes examined. As soon as I checked in I was immediately welcomed with smiles. The gal that did my tests before the actual doctor exam was so sweet and nice while putting me at ease She was down to earth and you could tell that she genuinely cares about her patients The doctor came in with a huge smile. What an amazing doctor Highly educated and knew exactly how to explain things to me in a way I could actually understand She took the time to go over every thing with me and never did she make me feel bad about not being current on my exams She found things that are a bit concerning and I need to pursue with a specialist but completed my exam with a prescription and referral It took a while to pick out glasses because of the huge selection and the woman who helped me out on that end was superb So sweet and not pushy at all What a refreshing experience at an eye appointment

The girl that took care of me was pleasant and very helpful. She spent alot of time with me picking out frames and going through my insurance. It was Friday, July 28th around noon at ridgepark square

Never EVER will I return to this vision works location. Worst experience of my 10 years I have been wearing glasses. As soon as I walked in I did not feel very welcome. The customer service was slow and unapologetic. I felt discriminated against by the tall white woman at the desk, as I am a minority.

Everyone is very professional at this office. My questions about my eye tests and insurance coverage were all answered clearly, the office is clean, and Dr Rowson is efficient and pleasant.
I am very satisfied with the care and service I received. Recommend to family and friends.

Vision Works is the place to go for eyeware. Sales representative was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Vision Works at Ridge Park Square. You will be very satisfied.

The people at Visionworks Ridge Park Square are awesome. If you don't have a great time picking out it's your fault not their's. Products and time line for pick up is great as well.

Great customer service, the staff was very nice! I ordered contacts within a week they were ready for pick up! The only thing I didn't like and it did not make sense is patients with glasses on of course I had to put a mask on, it is very hard to do the tests when you can't see

I recently Purchased glasses from the Vision works on Ridge road in Brooklyn Ohio. After picking out frames when they were fitting me for lenses all they used was a magic marker when i questioned this they said that was all they had i thought it was quite odd. After picking up my new glasses the lenses were not made correctly. I tried them for a few days and then returned them because they were not usable. At that time the employee said they were made according to doctors' script and that i would have my refund in 3-5 days. Went back to eye doctors He verified the script and was correct and that the problem was that when they measured the glasses the pupil was not centered on the lens correctly, we were able to simulate this in his office. He even said he would have to talk to the people upfront because more than a magic marker should have been used. I then tried to go another eyeglass provider. I was then told that a letter was going to have been sent from vision works to my insurance company before my benefits could be applied elsewhere. Went back to the vision works talked to the manager. She said it was already sent by corporate. I then asked for corporate phone number she refused told me go look it up online. Contacted corporate office they told me it could be almost 30 business days before they process but she would try to expedite it and maybe by the end of the week. So, in conclusion I was lied to on several occasions I cannot get glasses that I need I have not been refunded the money I personally paid for and i will not be able to for up to 6 weeks because of their mistake I am forced to wear a 5-year-old 2 prescription back pair. I was treated in total and unprofessional way. They are treating people like the puppy mill of glasses.get them in out and if there is a problem you are going to wait if they want to fix your problems from their mistake. At no time was another solution given nor did they ask if i want them remade told that is how we do things

Lemme tell you about my experience here. (This review is solely based on one visit and a few phone calls)
In short: Yes

The customer service was great from front to back, masks are encouraged, it's decent parking, nice location. Lunch break between 1-2
They were running into their lunch time and still squeezed me in. (For that I am forever grateful).
The appt: The optometrist was great. He explained everything well, and he made me comfortable despite how anxious I was because of my sight. I have very poor vision and it makes me dread eye appt because I've always been "the one with the thick lens/strong prescription". I appreciate the professionalism, thoroughness and the peace of mind.
I'm actually excited to go back.mostly because I get fitted for a pair of contacts, but still!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The exam was fine, although I was there quite a while, took longer than other eye doctors I have been to. It’s the customer service that continues to get worse as I have to continue to interact with them. The doctor here referred me to a retina specialist, which was not in my network although the doctor here said it should be (they also didn’t even fax my referral over like they said they would, I had to call them back and ask them to send it because they didn’t). Retina specialist said they took my insurance, but ended up not even though they told me twice they did, so ended up costing $500+, so I called this location back to get my medical records to try to appeal my insurance determination for the specialist that was referred to from this doctor. I called to ask about getting medical records from them to try to appeal with my insurance, say they’ll call back and then never do so of course I have to call them AGAIN (be warned they don’t return calls). Now they are making it unnecessarily difficult to get my medical records - they can’t email me a release to sign and send back due to confidentiality but I could come in person back down there or apparently they’re okay with faxing it to my work, I asked when to expect it to try to get it quickly off the fax machine at work to protect my confidentiality - they said end of business day, which is several hours from now. They act like any request outside of coming in for your annual exam and paying them is an inconvenience. Will not be returning to this location for a second annual exam, one and done with them and advise others to avoid unless you like terrible customer service, because that’s what you’ll get here, especially the longer you work with them. They don’t call back, they don’t care about your time, and they don’t truly care about your confidentiality. The retina specialist emailed me my records within 5 minutes - I understand different places have different policies, but Visionworks and the doctors here could be way more customer friendly and they just aren’t.
