We had a tech come out and start an inspection. I have called once and email once. We have been patiently waiting 3 weeks for a quote or call for the repairs needed and crickets! Waste of time and inspection fee.

My technician was Chris Logan, he was very professional, friendly and explained to me how my fireplace works and provided simple maintenance tips. OUTSTANDING SERVICE.highly recommended.

We recently had Vonderhaar's install a new fireplace for us and apply stone work around it. WE ARE THRILLED! Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly and willing to do anything we asked. Kirk, the owner, came out on the first day of each job to assure that the teams had everything they needed and understood the job. The installation team was Brian and DJ. They were incredible! Then came the rock installation. Led by Brad, the master mason, and his team, Anthony and Justin.unbelievable! They are all such pros and we loved having them in our house. Not only are they the best at what they do, but they are all incredibly talented and fun as well. Also, can't forget to mention Jen in the office, who was also awesome. Brian and DJ make up one of the best teams I have ever worked with. Along with fully understanding the job, their attention to detail was extraordinary.

Vonderhaar was wonderful to work with from start to finish! The work they did for us included a new chimney, gas insert, woodburning stove and a new stone hearth. It is all beautiful and works great! Greg and Kirk Vonderhaar were knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We would absolutely use them again!

They were quick to come to our house and charge for an assessment that we paid immediately. Almost a year later we are still waiting on the quote for the repairs. We contacted them multiple times but have given up.
Why perform and charge for assessment if you don’t plan on following up?

Don’t waste your money. There are much better companies that are honest and offer free estimates, good customer service and have the ability to get the job done.

Vonderhaar has completely taken care of me. My chimney was blown off my house (yes, off my house) in my side yard in gusty wind. Vonderhaar came to my house, removed the chimney from my side yard, fixed the chimney and roof, and replaced the wood burning fireplace with a gas fireplace. They stayed extra time to tile the new fireplace and put up a beautiful mantle. I was going to do the tile and mantle on my own, but they had done such a great job, I had them do it. It is absolutely gorgeous and makes my family room look amazing. I would recommend them to anyone. The staff was absolutely AMAZING and went out of their way to get me what I needed. Thank you Vonderhaar for everything you have done!

These guys are great. Imagine the angst of having to replace a fireplace after painting the entire inside of the house and refinishing your wood floors. Kirk, Brian and DJ made the job seem simple. They are true experts, conscientious and have great pride in what they do. Highly recommended!

We live in a house built in the 1940s that was built with a wood burning fireplace and for the longest time, this wasn't a problem. However, as time went on, I developed several degenerative lung issues that in time will be terminal. The original fireplace was not built to typical dimensions so while the bulk of the smoke vented out the chimney, some of it vented into the house which would exacerbate my lung conditions. So for the last 7 years, our hearth has remained cold to protect my lungs. But I grew up having fires and our house just didnt feel like a home without a fire in the fireplace in the winter over the holidays. So this year, shortly before Thanksgiving we called Vonderhaar for a consult to see if there were any options we could consider. For our consult, the owner of the company Greg Vonderhaar showed up with one of his employees. We explained my health issues to him and he told use that switching to a gas burning fireplace, even though we had always used wood, would be the best way for us to have fires again while not harming my lungs. They did an inspection and we got the ball rolling. They even got the new fireplace installed before Christmas so we could enjoy fires through the holidays and on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Vonderhaar gave us more than a fireplace we could use again, they gave us great family memories over the holidays in front of the fireplace which is priceless. Now, almost every cool night we have a fire in our hearth. Best call I ever made and best money ever spent. Thank you Greg Vonderhaar!

So glad we visited Vonderhaar - they offered more options than a previous fireplace business, and were WAY more affordable!

I do not usually write reviews but my experience with this company was so poor that I felt obligated. I called and told them I wanted to have a chimney damper mounted to the top of my chimney flew and asked them to come out and measure to see that size I needed. They informed me that they would send someone out when they were in the area and they would be in touch. After six weeks, several calls And their insistence they would be out, they finally told me that since this was considered a “free estimate” that I was of low priority to them and they were not sure when they would be out. While I had every intention of purchasing the item from them, their utter lack of transparency and poor customer service tactics loss them my business and hopefully yours as well

I highly recommend Vonderhaar for chimney cleaning. They were on time, inspected chimney and reiterated safety precautions including using only seasoned wood and doing yearly sweeps. I had them put me on a yearly spring recall. Two thumbs up.

The gentleman who came to our house was very friendly. He did an excellent job of sweeping and cleaning out our fireplace. We plan on using them again. Thank you!

Called them to inspect chimneys on the property. The came for 90$ and told me the chimneys were collapsing and are dangerous. Quoted me over 6k just to remove the chimneys and 18k to fix them. Called multiple other companies that told me they were not dangerous but did need some TLC. Was quoted 800 to fix the chimneys and 1200 to remove them.

Chris came to our house this week for an inspection and was so helpful! He was knowledgeable, fair, and gave great advice on how to best update our fireplace and chimney to tip top shape. Would recommend Chris and Vonderhaar to anyone looking to ensure their fireplace is in good shape for us.
