Vo's Nail & Co reviews
19Toe nails chipped first day after pedicure, went back to have it fixed (I didn’t mind paying to have them re-painted) but the owner just painted the chipped parts in the lobby. I tried to explain to her that they were gel but she shushed me and continued to paint them with regular nail polish. Very unprofessional. Way too expensive for this type of service.
The staff is lovely and friendly and my pedicure looks great! After reading a lot of reviews form other places, I figured this would be the best bang for my buck. They exceeded my expectations and I have to say it was one of the best pedicures I've ever had! Great for college students on a budget,
Most beautiful nails I have ever had, and they still look like I just walked out of the salon! I felt so happy at Vo Nail & Company, all the nail designers were kind and welcoming. So much detail and time put in.
Had mani/pedi with gel on toes and dip on hands done at this salon this past Tuesday June 4th with my daughter- she had gel done on both and her technician was fantastic! My technician did awful work on my dip manicure. We were there over 2 hours and my dip never came out right, so she added gel polish to make it shine. It's bumpy and uneven with visible ridges and she didnt clean up my fingers when I left, there was red everywhere on my skin- she said I could pick it off myself as I checked out. If I hadn't been there over 2 hours already, I would have asked to have them redone by the man who did my daughter's. I'm really disappointed because I'd been here before and loved it which is why we came back.
First time going. I read the reviews and there were a lot of good ones. It was a random Wednesday when I went and they were packed. I am happy that I was there right when they opened. The gentleman that did my acrylic fill and color did not seem interested in how hard he was filing, grinding or pulling on my nails and hands. He ground off and left bleeding, most of my cuticles. He then took the grinder to the underneath side, which is expected and left three bleeding. Acrylic ran onto my fingers and he did not clean it up. The polish was and still is all over my fingers and he used a shine top coat when I specifically asked for matte several times. Maybe he was in a bad mood today, but my nails do not look good.
Posting through my husbands email! We took our daughters there today for a little treat. Amy was so incredible and treated our kids so sweetly. She went above and beyond pampering them and spending time with them. We’ve never had such a great experience with kids manicures-usually it’s a quick polish at a high cost. Amy spent at least 25 minutes on each girl AND went back for touch ups when my daughter’s smeared. Blown away by the kindness of the staff! You have our business for good!
Love this place! It smells amazing Everytime I walk in:) The store is clean and service was really nice. Second, the quality of their products and work is impeccable. I can honestly say it was one of the most pleasant and relaxing experiences I've ever had at a nail salon! I'm looking forward to continuing to frequent!
My hunt for a 'good' nail place ends. I think I found my favorite. Once I enter the nail salon its very warm and inviting. The teachnicans all seem to be really meticulous about their work which is much appreciated. My mani came out perfectly with no flaws. I feel happy every time with my nails. Already booked my next one with them.
SAVE YOUR NAILS! I was not happy with the service provided and would not recommend to my friends. Nail tech was constantly busy answering clients phone calls and was not apologetic for all the disruption. She did not use any towels on the table as if wanted to save on clean towels. It was a traumatic experience. She was very aggressive with nail filing tools and did not use any sterile tools (including nail cutter or cuticle care tool). My nails are now super sensitive and I have pain in my cuticle region.
It was not worth it to save money with cash pay discount (for a few dollars). I value clean environment and simple courtesy which was lacking in this place. I do get my nail care on regular basis so able to tell the difference. I wanted to try this place for convenience factor.
Please make sure that you inquire regarding sterile nail tool kit on your visit there because none was in my view. You don't want to end up with more harm than good looking hands/feet. Hope this review helps you because previous reviews did not help me with deciding regarding this place. I don't generally post reviews.
Staff are helpful when scheduling an appointment and working you in between appointments when you walk in. My nails always looks great and last!
I'm so happy I came to this place on a whim decision. The service is awesome and everyone is SO friendly. The place feels comfortable and clean also. Just say "marvelous"!
I can honestly say that this shop is as good as the reviews it gets on yelp. Service here is very friendly and my nails always turn out the way I want them in terms of shape and color. She always does an amazing job and is so fun to talk to. Their customer service is impeccable.
The place is great and friendly staff. Prices are a little high but the pedicure and manicure are great it's just more expensive when it adds up for gel removals and such.
I got gel manicure last Tuesday 5/22. It wasn't even one week when my manicure started peeling! Gel should last 2 weeks! And i spent more than what others charge for it! I will never go back there!
I went to this place today for the first time and I loved it! Customer service is top-notch. The owner/manager is also very nice and accomodating. And took awhile to have my nails done. Nail tools are sterilized and comes in sealed packages. This place gets busy, but they always make time for me. And i'm definitely coming back.
Unbelievably satisfied with this salon. The customer service is the best I have ever experienced and they have about every gel color you could possibly wish for. Very clean and prices are perfect!
VO Nails does one of the best jobs in Columbus! Beautiful salon & extremely clean! I always get a gel manicure and they stay on by far longer than any other salon. Today I went in and I needed a quick update and just did a “gel polish change, ” it was cheaper, took 30 minutes (with removal of previous gel), and they shaped them and made them look beautiful. + great colors! Highly recommend!
This place made me feel like family on my first visit! Excellent prices! Super friendly staff & the nail work was perfect! I can wait to go back!
If you have natural long nails- BEWARE. I have been growing my nails out since December. They *were* long, with a lovely rounded shape. I have been meticulous about caring for them since it's the first time in my 30+ years that I've ever had long natural nails. I've spent hours researching the best base coat, polish, top coat, tools, hand lotions, dietary supplements etc. Besides it being an investment of my time, I've also invested financially by buying these products. It was a source of pride for me- it's taken a lot of work but I had them at the perfect length and I was really pleased.
Today I went to Vo's with a girlfriend. We had pedicures done first and then we had manicures. When we sat down I told the woman I did not want the length changed. I had one nail on one hand that had lost the tip about a month ago, so while still long it was not as long as the others. However, I'm the only one that would really notice this. I was waiting for it to grow out to match the others, but it was not a huge difference. I even pointed it out to her and said it was fine as it was and said just to leave them all the way they are- do not change the length. They literally just needed painted.
So she begins buffing them and I have my head turned talking to my friend. As she was on the fourth nail I noticed that she was filing down the length! I stopped and asked her what she was doing. She said she was shaping them and that they were shorter than the other hand (only the one was a smidge shorter- which we had already discussed). They were a natural rounded shape when I went in. She filed them down and made them square! I literally have no words. My friend just sat there with her mouth hanging open not even believing it because she had heard me say not to shorten their length. When I held up both hands side by side you could see she filed down the length by HALF. I had said not to shorten them and she did, drastically, and I had never asked for them to be shaped into a square- since I never wanted them to be square.
When comparing the length now to pictures I took on February 6th, they are shorter now than they were 6 weeks ago. Anyone that has grown, or has tried to grow, their natural nails knows how long it takes to get any length on them. In 5 minutes she erased 6+ weeks of nail growth.
The woman doing my nails knew I was very unhappy, but I just tried to focus on my friend and not let it ruin our day catching up with each other. At that point there wasn't anything that could be done, and I wasn't going to act like a jerk about it. At the end she did say that "there must have been a miscommunication" and offered me 20% off.
After sitting under a dryer for 30 minutes and after having them put a quick dry product on them, I put on my sweater and 2 of my nails smudged. She had me sitting under a black light dryer with regular polish. I'm not sure if that's what you should do, I've always used a fan or blow dry for regular polish. She did fix it, but then I had to sit there for another 30 minutes- this time in front of a fan.
I won't be back, and would recommend anyone with naturally long nails NOT go here for a manicure.
I'm extremely disappointed in my experience. And while the world has bigger problems than the length of my nails, when I go to a nail salon and ask for a service I do believe it's reasonable to expect to get what you ask for. Now when I look at my nails I'm just really disappointed. I genuinely feel like they were ruined today.
