6Have had a weekend retreat here for several years! Camp and kitchen staff are accommodating and on the ball! Food is Great; lots of activities available and an overall great experience! Highly recommend them for any group or school outing!
This camp needs to be evaluated. My daughter was looking forward to a positive experience at this camp, and already had doubts leaving over night for a week. I have never heard of this camp but entrusted that she was going to be safe. My daughter came back from a week long stay complaining about her ear. She mentioned the counselor Amy didn't help her with her complaints and brushed it off as "swimmers ear". By the time my daughter got back in my care the ear was infected. I got to the doctor we tried the first course of antibiotic treatment. 48 hours late my daughter was worse, the bacteria had spread within the middle of her ear and they were concerned it went to the bone. My daughter shared the pool was dirty and wasn't very clean. I hope this camp takes this seriously as children's health and well being should be TOP priority while caring for people's children. If you plan on sending your children here, I would definitely check the pool, cabins and places they will be at before sending.
There for an Emmaus weekend. Awesome views good folks and great food.
Wanake Camp is a peaceful place to get away from Covid concerns and enjoy nature.
Families can meet in a heated barn, and restrooms are open and cleaned everyday.
The camp, like many other places, lost so much this year when campgrounds were closed. Call to make your reservations. They wear masks and check your temps. Masks are required inside.
This place is a special place. Loving impatient staff, great environment and buildings! I highly recommend it!
My daughter and I just returned from their Labor Day Family weekend. We had so much fun. She made some new friends and had a blast. The staff from checking us in, to the life guard, to the tractor driver on the wagon, to our naturalist were all wonderful. They fed us well and sent us home in a peaceful and relaxed state of mind.
