Warther Museum & Gardens reviews
22Wonderful place to visit and see all the beautiful carving in the museum. Wonderful gift shop for the chef on your list.
We decided to take a drive the other day and ended up in Dover at the Watther museum. Great place, a homage to the carving skills he possessed. Model trains galore covering the history of steam engines in the United States. His skill out shines many of the other sites and places I have seen
I'm so sorry I've lived 65 years in this State and didn't realize what a GREAT & TRUE AMERICAN HERO Ernest Warther was for this Great Nation! I would suggest visiting this museum! This man is ABSOLUTELY awesome and VERY TALENTED!
The staff is always welcoming and friendly. If I were just staring to aquire items for a kitchen, Warthers would be one of the 1st places I would shop! Unfortunately, I am at a stage of life where I am downsizing.
Very unique. Doesn't take long to go through and you will likely enjoy the visit. Recommend going.
Beautiful historic gem in Dover. The gardens are meticulous! If you haven't taken a tour I definitely recommend. The carvings are amazing. I could spend all day in the button house alone. So much to see in 1 attraction.
I had been to the museum before and found it fascinating. I bought knives there and they are really high quality. I went to get the knives sharpened and everyone was extremely nice. This was an excellent experience and worth taking the hour-and-a-half trip to see the museum and enjoy the gift shop and enjoy watching the Craftsmen creates the knives on site
Yup, you simply HAVE to go here. The museum shows the finest carvings I have ever seen (and I've traveled throughout Europe). If you're in Dover, this is definitely worth a stop. Don't miss it!
This is a wonderful place to take the family or just visit the museum for its many great creations. The Christmas tree festival is also a very nice time. You can buy some of their many different kinds of crafts and knives in the gift shop. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to the community. If you haven't been there, I strongly suggest that you take a visit to the Warthers museum.
An amazing display of raw, God-given talent! I wouldn't even be able to VISUALIZE, let alone CARVE, the intricately-designed masterpieces which I saw at this place! Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and thorough! Enjoyable! Great place for both adults and children!
Amazing museum! The carvings are so detailed it is almost unbelievable, have to see it in person. Ernest Warther was truly a genius and master at his craft. To be able to not only visualize, but also then carve such amazing pieces shows his incredible talent. Can't recommend enough!
Loved this museum, alot of great things to see, wasn't sure if I wanted to go but really glad we did.
What an amazing place. The attention to detail is far beyond what I ever could imagine. The tour was nice but we didn’t have time to walk around on our own. We will have to go back again to take our time.
Truly an awe inspiring visit. The tour has something for everyone. ; the train enthusiast, the mathematician, the artist, the historian and more. I highly recommend this museum.
Unbelievable! What the man did is truly incredible you have to see it to believe it.
From childhood till death not many could walk in his shoes.
There is no place on this planet who does a better job than Warther for knives.along with that, they are very friendly and helpful. Had 54 year old Warther knife that they still sharpen for free.
The price of the knife we purchased was incorrect on the list posted. When questioned the clerk didn't offer to honor the incorrect price until asked again. She should have honored the incorrect price on the display sheet and on the knife immediately instead of hoping we just pay and go away. It was very uncomfortable.
My 6year old grandson loved the gentleman who guided our tour. There were some souvenirs fairly priced for him to buy and take back home. This was our second time there.
What a gem. Brought my 7 & 4 year old grandsons, it was probably over their heads, but there was enough to look at to keep them entertained.
