Driving range is nice, always busy but they drastically increased the price for 2023. Large bucket of balls is now $13 which I think is a bit steep for a no frills range. If I remember correctly it was around $8 last season. Inflation everywhere I guess.

Love the course! 200 yards is the longest hole. There are two par 4's. Great for kids as they are affiliated with First Tee! Nicely kept and great being in a park, next to the steel factories! Our favorite "small" course in the Cleveland area!

Only 1 set of 9 holes so it is a pile up of people. The tee boxes are all sand so if you want to set up a tee it’s almost impossible. Frustrating course. Greens were nice and well taken care of besides the tee boxes. Wouldn’t recommend.

Edit 2022: Everything I said below was true in 2019. However now in 2022 the current superintendent has trashed the place. A real shame too considering golf is more popular than ever and his budget must be doing just fine. I can no longer recommend this place to anyone

This place really is a hidden gem. Not in the sense that it's a 5star championship golf course which it isn't. But in the sense that it's location, facilities, and affordability/value are second to none.
First, the driving range is GRASS. Not many places in the area have this for the public at an affordable price. They also have mats if you prefer. The best part is the driving range has a wonderful view of the Cleveland skyline. For only a small fee you can practice unlimited balls out of real bunkers as well as 5-40 yard shots at their short game facility. Once again most public courses in a 20 mile radius do not offer anything close to this. Cost of practice facilities goes towards your metroparks bonus rounds which no other courses do.
As for the course itself don't let the par 29 scorecard fool you. Everything is very tight and if you're not hitting every iron in your bag solid and consistent it will be hard to score well here. I'm a 10 handicap and this is a frustrating course to play. If everything is on, breaking 30 is possible. If not, the 40s are easily in play. Because of the short length this course is perfect for beginners too.
Full disclosure, some tee boxes are in rough shape but to the trained eye you can see they cut some corners when they built the place. Some tees are too small, in the shade, and surrounded by tree roots so they suffer. I am sure the current staff is doing the best that they can given the corners that were cut years ago.
Everyone in Cleveland should be made aware of this course and get out and play it!

The course is completely beat up and the greens have skid marks and divots all over them, tee boxes are either all sand or a small mat, fairways are alright

Always a fun time. It’s a learning course with just 9 holes and 2 par 4s. Great for your beginner or trying to get your game back. Also has a driving range.

Great facility. Grass tees on driving range probably will open on May 1. Until then, use the mats. 9-hole course is good for short game practice or for new golfers.
