West Oak Salon, Canal Winchester OH

I scheduled a highlight here with Emily, thinking I might want extensions in the near future. (This is NOT the Emily that recently stopped working at WOS.) I asked for my same blonde with added dimension. I got awful dirty blonde/brown with a gray toner that took 3 hours and cost $255.00. When I complained it was too dark, Emily offered to "pop a few more foils in on top". I said no because I couldn't spend any more time there that day. Omw home I decided I had to get it fixed and couldn't waste that much $$. Emily agreed to see me 2 days later. (I used a clarifier to try to remove dark color and toner.) I was offered a refund but I needed my hair fixed and had no other resource. (Plus I already rearranged my schedule and drove over there!) This time my hair took 2 hours and came out gold with no low lights because I was afraid to let her do them or a toner. This service was no charge. In addition, Emily clunked the sprayer into my head both times while rinsing and dried my hair with a rough towel swirling it in all directions (tangling) like she was drying off the dog. Then raking my head coarsely, scratching my scalp with her round brush pulling my hair. The salon is poorly painted with dirty ceiling towels and was freezing cold my first visit. All of this right before several important events. I am devastated. The worst, most expensive, most time consuming appointment of my life.

It really does speak to the caliber of this salon to choose to defame my character and misrepresent what happened. I didn't bash my last stylist. I wanted to find out about extensions and felt she had gotten a little complacent with me. I said several times my hair was too dark and I thought I needed to get used to it. I didn't even mention that she cut my sides too short after I said I need to tuck it behind my ear. Emily offered to add more highlights. She wouldn't have done that if I liked it. You record all the conversations with your clients? I find that hard to believe. I definitely was not mean or rude. I was upset. reviews exist for a reason. I stand by everything I stated above.

Every soul in this Salon is warm, welcoming, helpful and kind. The salon is clean & so cozy. I personally see Alycia for lashes & Devon for hair *Alycia* is accommodating and can adapt so easily. I’ve been a client for three years now. She’s always listening to her clients interests. (Sometimes even our drama lol)
*Devon* truly cares about the people who sit in her chair, showing her major attention to detail. If there’s a question or a problem, she does her absolute best to find a solution. She can “take a little” and “turn it into a lot”. I never have any idea what I wanna do with my hair and she works wonders with creating a vision. I cannot say enough about these girls & this Salon!

I was able to schedule a same day appointment with Mallory. Everything from scheduling to my actual appointment was fantastic! I will definitely be back!

Loved my haircut by Mallory! She was the sweetest, made me feel super comfortable, and put up with my indecisiveness and with my being particular at times. She also spent almost two hours with me even though I was her last appointment of the night. I’ve been searching around for a salon and hairstylist that I want to come back to, and I think I’ve found it!

As someone who hates getting her hair done, I love West Oak Salon. Someone always acknowledges me when I walk in and offers me drink (from coffee to sparkling water). The salon has a great atmosphere and is super clean. I highly recommend Savannah. She is very knowledgeable and sweet. She is always giving me great recommendations for my hair. So happy I found this little gem!

Kelsey (Waldie) has been my hair stylist since I’ve moved to the area. She is always accommodating to my work schedule and gets the job done. I’ve never left feeling anything short of absolutely glam.

I had one great experience here but I’ve tried to book twice since then and both times the stylist has cancelled on me a few hours before the appointment. I won’t be booking again.

As an 8 year stylist, looking for a new stylist for myself. Unfortunately this salon is not it for me. I was quickly turned off by this salon. I will however start off by saying I messed up and thought I booked for a same day appointment. So it's on me that I didn't double check that. The issue with the salon, there is no phone number to be able to ask more detailed questions on what was all included in the service I booked. Once I actually got there the first thing I noticed was an overwhelming cat smell. Also was not greeted for several mins nor the woman who walked in immediately after me. This salon gives a very unprofessional and I will not be returning.

Absolutely love West Oak! Super clean and well kept! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend kelsey W, I’ve been going to her for over a year now and she always does incredible work! She’s super patient and understanding of what you what, she is the only stylist I trust with my hair! I leave every appointment with kelsey obsessed with the results, everyone needs to check her out! She’s amazing!

Haley did AMAZING on my hair! I've been to multiple hair stylists and I swear nobody has EVER gotten what I wanted. Yesterday after haley was done I legit said FINALLY someone did what I asked for and visioned! I couldn't have been happier! She does amazing baylage! The colors were PERFECT & I can't stop staring at it lol. She will be my new forever stylist

I got my hair done by Kelsey H. I got 2 rows of sew in weft extensions as well as some fresh brown color. She did an amazing job of explaining the service as well as correcting some green undertones that were in the ends my hair. Very satisfied with the end result

Marissa is amazing with hair extensions! She makes suggestions and listens to the customers wants. Not once have I been disappointed upon leaving an appointment. Her work is amazing! Highly recommend, great experience!

Recently I had wanted to change my hair back to its darker ways. Kelsey H made that happen! She even brought swatches of the different tones and explained them all to me. Was by far the best experience ever, I have been coming to Kelsey H for 3-4 years now. I just recently in the past year have started to do balayages. I saw her work sooo much on social media and had to, she truly digs into her work and doesn’t leave her clients clueless. The amount of hard work she puts in definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. I have recommended her to ALL of my friends when they ask where I go/who I see. As a client who has watched her grow over the years makes me happy for her, she’s like a bestie-hair stylist lol. Keep it up girl!

I’m always nervous to go to a new salon or hair stylist, but I booked an appointment with Haylee on a whim. She didn’t disappoint and I had a great experience overall. Will be coming back & recommend this salon! I came in with a very grown out blonde balayage & she gave me a beautiful all over brown I wanted.

I have been going to see Haley D for years now. She is amazing. Very professional. I switched over to her a few years ago when my old stylist fried my hair.

Haley walked me thru what I needed to do to get it healthy again and grow and boy has it.

She is amazing with blonde, fun colors and we even did extensions in my hair a few months ago.

Haley is a dream. I look forward to seeing her every couple of months.

I absolutely love this salon. My normal stylist is Kelsey H and she always does a fantastic job! She is great at her job and also very informative with all my questions. I’ve seen other stylists here and I’ve never had any complaints!
