My daughter and third baby was delivered as my second VBAC early this year with the Westar team. Having moved several times in my previous pregnancy I've discussed my plans for a vbac with several doctors and found Westar to be the most supportive practice I've encountered. Unrelated to the VBAC my delivery did not go as smoothly as I had hoped due to other complications. When things go wrong, it is good to know you have the right people by your side. I am extremely grateful to the Westar team and to Dr. Murnane for the rapid response to my situation and the professional manner in which things were resolved. I don't think I could have been in better hands. Thank you!

The nurses and staff are always so kind and wonderful from the time they greet you to the time you leave. Dr Murnane is always professional and knowledgeable. He reviews past history and appointments and answers all new questions. He takes his time and truly cares for his patients.

This practice is absolutely wonderful! Dr. Murnane and all the staff truly care about each mother and baby. Whether it's a normal pregnancy, a miscarriage, or a complicated pregnancy requiring maternal fetal medicine, you AND your baby will be treated with care, dignity, and respect. Dr. Murnane seeks the best outcomes for mother and baby. He had all the necessary connections in place for us before our baby was born so that any of our baby's additional needs could be met in an efficient manner. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with this practice. All my questions have been answered and I have full access to my medical information. This practice is worthy of trust. Caregivers were wonderful here. Dr. Murnane was especially helpful giving thorough care and answering questions. Scheduling and front desk did the best they could, but this was the only area that did not feel as welcoming or easy. Thank you for helping me through my pregnancy and be able to give birth to my baby girl naturally!

I am highly disappointed and appalled by the behavior of the women working in registration. Their discriminatory actions are shocking and disgraceful. It is unacceptable that despite the policy clearly stating that being 15 minutes late for a regular appointment is allowed, the woman in question flat-out refused to check me in or even attempted to inquire with the doctor or nurse about checking me in. It is irrelevant why I was tardy, and regardless of my right to see my doctor, they were unwilling to accommodate me, causing unnecessary difficulties in my life. Their complete lack of flexibility and respect is truly disheartening. I will never go back there.
I had a scheduled appointment at 3: 30 p.m. And arrived promptly at 3: 45. I approached the front desk at exactly 3: 45 to register but was informed that my appointment had been canceled. I kindly reminded the receptionist that according to the policy, I was allowed to be up to 15 minutes late, and it was still within that time frame. However, it appeared that my appointment had already been canceled before this. I was taken aback by the rude manner in which she spoke to me and her lack of assistance. As someone who works in the medical field, I am well aware of the rules and the importance of respecting patients. I requested that she consult with the nurse or doctor to see if they were still able to see me, but she adamantly refused and continued to be disrespectful. I want to emphasize that I am speaking the truth and have been a loyal patient at your office since 2017, and I have never encountered such rudeness from your staff before.

Full transparency - the reason this rating is as high as it is, is because Dr. Murnane and Dr. Thompson are both incredible doctors. They genuinely listen when you tell them something is wrong or explain what is going on. I had both of my children with this practice. The front desk staff is always friendly and quick to return calls. Unfortunately, as with most medical practices - the practice can’t be defined just by the doctors. When it comes to obstetrics for prenatal care and delivery, it’s a fairly great experience. The gynecological and post delivery experiences are not as smooth. There has been more than one occasion where it comes across when trying to tell them something is wrong, they don’t listen unless you push. Personally, my reproductive health is not something I’m willing to take a chance on with staff not listening. Overall though, the majority of the staff is very friendly, it’s a clean place, and great for OB care - my drop in rating comes down to lack of the same attention or concern for detail on the gynecology side.

I’m so glad I found Dr. Murnane. I truly feel like I’m in good hands now. He is so knowledgeable and he is an extremely good communicator! I’m in my fifties and three years ago I switched over from a younger female OBGYN provider whom I’d been with for a while. It was like night and day. Wonderful new nurse too! She seems to be such a competent and kind person, which is just an extension of who he is, thanks!

Have been a patient here since I was 17, I’m now 27 and just seeing that Westar has publicly come out as a Pro-life OBGYN. Brining politics into healthcare will never be tolerated for me. I feel scared for the future of women and the fact that they won’t out in IUDs or handle much contraception anymore. No longer feel safe and protected here and will be taking my healthcare elsewhere. Really disappointed in this place.
