Wheat Penny Oven and Bar reviews
14Did carry out. Interesting tastes, but pizza was cold and high priced. Won’t likely do carry out again
Best pizza in town! I had the Vegan Tamasso most recently.
I absolutely love their pizzas!
Can a restaurant make you want to return to Dayton and see what the city has to offer? YES. Nice vibe, flavorful food, friendly staff. Enough left to take on the road.
I enjoyed a tasty gumbo as a prelude to a rich Bolognese pasta dish. My companion and I were initially seated on the covered patio. With loud rain pelting the "roof" we were quickly reseated in the main dining area by an attentive host and were treated graciously and thoughtfully by a number of staff during a busy NYE celebration evening.
Absolutely excellent experience; we are visiting from Atlanta, and we're referred by local family; complex and attractive cocktail menu, with carefully prepared execution; fresh distinctive ingredients and recipes; tasteful menu items, including several vegetarian style options; squad eggplant and cauliflower particularly well done; courteous diligent vibrant team members; highly recommend
We ate here on a Saturday late afternoon. We had heard great reviews from coworkers and family. The host was super friendly and courteous. Luckily we had called ahead and secured a reservation. The server did a good job and was super helpfully with recommendations. However, the food itself was so so. It wasn’t bad at all, just nothing exceptional. My wife thought the same about her meal. I will probably go back and try something different before I leave a final judgement.
Definitely recommend getting their Kale salad and pizza. Service was ok.
. Took forever to get a drink, couldn’t find our server, she never came to check up on us. Other servers were checking on their tables often. Will go back but hopefully we get another server. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
Worst pizza of my life. Ordered the gluten free cheese. Crust is cracker thin and burnt. Pizza is oddly greasy and sauce tastes like plain tomato paste. Will never eat here again. I'll just stick with Old Scratch their pizza is a million times better.
Foodies and hipsters rejoice. Wheat penny has successfully married pork chimichurri and pizza. While you will pay a higher dollar, you will certainly spend more time searching for a more unique menu and popular refined atmosphere in Dayton. Not for the bland. Must try for travelling food seeker.
A very unique menu with a lot made from scratch. Fast friendly service and a unique atmosphere.
Food is great! We order often.my favorite: eggplant fries with yogurt dip. There are others.but you must checkout the restaurant for yourself! Located near the Oregon district.
Amazingly delicious, and the quality and attention to detail for the price is just ridiculous. Highly recommended!
Oh my God this was a great place to dine. Great place to have your pizza your way. You want to ask for Samantha very nice lady. The desert was a veryThe desert was a very veryThe desert was a very very nice. You want 2 order the Peach and Blueberry Crisp.
Waaaay different than what I expected. We liked it. Had a great server. It was just a weird vibe. There was a guy, I'm assuming the manager, that came in yelling at everyone, actually saw him and a host get into it on the floor and then the waterfall effect of that happening. I later saw them hug it out, so that's cool - provided dinner and a show. We'll go back, maybe not soon, but we'll return. It was tasty.
