Wiregrass Lake Metropark reviews
18Clear water but it is a very small lake. The lack of any underwater structures are brush make bass fishing a little bit or miss. It is a cute little walk around the lake though.
Such a beautiful little park. Kayak launch, fishing, camping, 6 mile trail around the lake.
It's a nice park. The fishing isn't the best. We didn't get a chance to checkout the camp sites. They were occupied at the time. Definitely bring sunscreen if your fishing. There is very little shade.
This lake used to be a beautiful place to go and walk if you wanted to watch the sundown next to beautiful nature. Recently they have cut every tree down so it’s no longer a scenic place to go, the lake is completely open now, leaving the place to feel less relaxing
There were some questionable characters at this park and they had pit bulls. One of the pit bulls "got away from" the owner and attacked my goldendoodle. My goldendoodle fortunatey escaped with no injuries that required professional care, but the pit bull did have my pooch locked in a bite and the owner had to remove him. My dog is now very nervous about going into the backyard in the dark and won't approach the neighbor's dogs at the fence anymore. So there is some trauma, just not physical. The ranger took a report, but there were no repercussions for the dogs owner. If this had been in the City of Toledo, I am sure that owner would have got some sort of citation. But because it is the domain of the park ranger, not the police, the undesirables got away with it.
Peaceful and very accessible dock for people with disabilities. Have not seen a dock as accessible as this one is.
Great place to walk around the small lake!
I see people fishing off the dock. Kayak ramp at dock. Can fish on lake as well
Love kayaking here. It has a launch which makes it easy. Everything is very clean, well taken care of. A great little Toledo gem.
Very nice place to kayak picnic also to fish not too far from town really enjoyed myself me and my daughter
Beautiful Park.camping and kayaking best vacation in a while. We will be returning for sure
Lots of bass and catfish and bluegill! Very relaxing place to fish beautiful and clean. Only bad thing is they don't have a restroom. But other than that it's a very nice place.
We love taking our newfoundland dog here. There's many other water dogs that come here as well. We have a long leash so he's always secure.
Love fishing here. Walk the path to the left, just before the fence. Catching fish all day.
Nice quiet park. No modern facilities. Trail was nice and short for those who cannot walk a long distance.
Beautiful park with a nice little Lake! But WEAR BUG SPRAY! The mosquitoes are unbearable even in the middle of the day!
Great park with great campsites near lake. Lucas County Metroparks is doing a phenomenal job!
Small gravel parking lot, nice walking paths, definitely need to bring along bug spray so you don't get ate alive of bugs
