7I wasnt allowed to see the cats to check if mine who had gotten out was there. Just had to trust the staff. I don't believe they would lie to me but as a grieving pet owner I feel mentally better seeing for myself. But others get to see the cats when they want to adopt.
The shelter is lovely! All animals have information tags that help tell more about the personality and medical issues as well. If you're looking to become a foster parent or adopt in Wood County areas, definitely check the Humane Society out.
Came for the first time on a Sunday. Their website says, they are open till 5pm. Yet, when I arrived the doors were locked with paper sign saying " closed, only via appointments today" How unprofessional and pathetic. It's 2023 and this establishment has a website with their current hours. Just to find out when you're there in person, you're "greeted" by a paper-sign at their front door, how they are not open. Mind you this is a wood county humane society. Never again. Just wasted gas money!

People at the front desk was kind of do my family, no wonder people don't like coming there to adopt they acted like they was better use. So I'll probably go to a breeder and by our next pet.
As soon as we walked in the door we were pretty much barked at and aggressively questioned as to why we showed up. Rude staff.
