Wright-Patt Credit Union reviews
16I have been on the phone for over an hour and have called five times to keep getting hung up on. They say to hold on so they can get information then disconnected!
I used mobile deposit for the first time after being with WPCU for several years. I received an email a couple hours later stating my check was accepted. I looked on line at my account and it said 200 would be available the following day and the remainder the day after. I proceeded to schedule some bill payments for the following day after my account said the money would be available. When the money didn’t become available the day it still says it would be on my account I called to check on the issue. The lady told me the money would be available the following morning. I waited until noon and it still was not available. I called WPCU again and they told me there is a 7 day hold. They placed the hold the day I called in when the full amount was supposed to be available. Not from the deposit date. My bank account still says the full funds will be available two days ago. This is very misleading and inappropriate for the bank to trick people into non sufficient fund fees. And the embarrassment of a returned check. Very disappointed with the lack of personal service and consideration. DON’T BANK AT WPCU. They have gotten too large and lost that personal touch. This check was from my retirement account and was not hand written. No reason for a 10 day hold. I have never deposited or bounced a check before. I would recommend going to a smaller credit union with shared banking if they don’t have enough locations.
Worst bank ever. I would give zero stars if I could. They would not DEPOSIT a check into my and my wife’s checking account. Had to go to another bank to deposit it and THEN go back to pay off a bill at Wrigh-Patt. Even talked to the manager who said there was nothing she could do.
Andrea Wolfe deserves a huge raise! I was having issues with my account and trying to get a bill paid and she spent almost an hour with me getting everything figured out. She talked to me like she was my friend and treated me like family. Her customer service goes above and beyond and I think she should be training employees. I will never switch banks!
Ace always makes our experience with WPCU wonderful! His customer service and fun personality will always brighten your day! Thanks Ace for always taking care of our personal and business accounts with such professionalism!
I have to fax something to the government and they told me to go to my local bank. Well, don’t go here. Didn’t even suggest where else I should go. I’ve never faxed anything in my life it’s 2019.
Forget about calling in and taking to a person. The in-person experience itself is about average, but you are limited to the number of certain in-person transactions you can make each month without being charged. The most annoying thing is that I can't just call in and talk to someone. I've just spent nearly an hour trying to reach someone to ask one simple question, and I still haven't been able to get a hold of anyone.
This is a very good bank with nice staff. Everyone is helpful. Online banking is great. There could be more ATM access though.
Terrible service. Took 30 min to speak with someone then they sent me back to the line so I could speak to someone else when they weren't able to help me.
This is so much better than a bank. Sure the people are great but the best things are their policies. They really are working for you.
The worst service that i ever seen, unprofessional and impolite. They use to hire some collage kids as sttaf. One star is too much for this wrong place.
The people may be nice, but nothing ever works. There is always a malfunction with their website to log onto your account information and they offer absolutely no support during their off hours (even Chase has a way to get a hold of them during off hours). It's a pain to find the phone number for a specific bank, and after 2 rings it directs you to the 1800 number where you're on hold for at least 10 minutes. I feel sorry for the people who go through this in times of emergency where they need to get a hold of someone at the bank ASAP.
Best credit union ever. Treats everyone with respect. Not like a huge impersonal bank. Will never go anywhere else.
There not the best they are very very slow even when there's like 2 people there but it's nothing to lose sleep over
While the banking system in itself is good, and the people can be very friendly. Though, therein lies the problem. I was attempting to reach them to find out why my check had yet to clear, and unfortunately I didn't get to them before their very early closing hour of 2 on Saturday. I then tried to access their alleged 24/7 phone bank, and was unable to get anyone. It would be understandable if it were say 8 or 9 pm, but 4 on a Saturday is not unreasonable. When they finally gave me the option of talking to an actual human being, "We're sorry, but you will have to call again during business hours". Not being able to reach a human being at a reasonable hour is extremely frustrating, and could get people in trouble if they cannot figure out why a check that is supposed to clear in 24 hours max has yet to clear.
Brian Mellon is one of the rudest people I have ever spoke with on the phone. I used to be proud to call myself a WPCU member, but after dealing with Brian on the phone today, I would have to say otherwise.
