I took my grandkids to the steampunk exhibit. Very nice and well presented. There were some nice interactive exhibits my grandsons enjoyed. Learned some history that I didn't know before. Inspired us to go home and watch a Jules Verne movie "The Time Machine"

Like in all of the other reviews I need to begin by saying that this place is huge. We were here for at least five hours. There are four big hangers plus some displays outside.

The displays are broken up in to different t historical time periods and events. They also have simulators that you can try…they do cost extra. There are also different aircraft that you can go inside.

The gift shop is huge. Don't forget your Pennie’s and quarters for the squished penny machine! The staff is plentiful and helpful.

There is also a cafe upstairs where you can buy cold sandwiches and snacks. You can only carry a water bottle in the museum so you will need to finish everything before you leave the cafe.

One other thing they have for those of us with limited mobility…they have lots of electric scooters. They are large and look comfortable. I have my own.

Finally, they have a station where they take your picture and print it one various backgrounds. It cost $35.00 for four pictures…3 small and one that is 5 *8.

This place is well worth the visit.

Great museum poorly run. What does volunteer was fine at memorizing scripts but no ability to actually answer a question

Unless you come in the door with awareness, guaranteed you will leave having missed 97 percent of what was right in front of you

If you are an aviation enthusiast, you need to visit this Museum. Admission is free and should be, being that it's funded by our tax dollars. To fully enjoy it, schedule at least 6-8 hours to view everything. 4 immense hangars are just packed with practically every airplane ever in the USAF inventory. You can go inside the planes that flew Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy. A truly historic experience in this museum. What you really feel is the pure immensity of the size of these aircraft when you stand next to them. Pictures can supply an idea of the aircraft's size, but seeing them up close is a totally different experience. The awesomeness is stunning. Same goes with the missiles. I would recommend starting at hangar 4 and work your way back up front. As with any museum, the souvenir store is an exercise in wallet fleecing. Nice shop, but far too expensive.
Children are allowed to roam freely, unabated, freeing mom and dad of their parental responsibilities, albeit briefly. It's best to arrive at the museum at the 9 am opening before the families with kids come in. The peaceful childless interlude stops at around 11 am. Weekdays are the best time to visit, because the weekends are murder according to many accounts.

I'd recommend this incredible museum to anyone who values history or aviation.

The exhibits are second to none. So many planes and so much history is packed in each hangar. We also had the pleasure of watching both IMAX movies, D-Day and Pilot Training. The movies were so engaging and rich with the most thought provoking information. I spent a full day sightseeing but you could easily make it a multi day trip. I cannot wait to go back in the near future!

I love history, my doesn’t get into history like I do, so I told her it is a place we can go and no admission, so we one day and she and our daughter loved it, we’ve been there about 4 times now and I still don’t know if we’ve seen everything seems like you see something different every time
