Xi Xia Chinese Cuisine reviews
17Three pieces of chicken and a bowl of noodles cost $17. Prices in Manhattan I would like to ask what kind of imported famous chicken is worth 17 US dollars for three pieces of meat. The noodles are also pressed with a hand-operated noodle machine. Maybe the boss has some misunderstanding about the definition of handmade noodles.
The food was good, but everything was a little too sweet. Love the bar code scan for the menu and ordering. Can't blame them if there was a mistake.
Best friend treated me to a birthday lunch at Xi Xia and the service was excellent. I ordered pickled soup with wide noodles and some heat. Wow! Traditional, delicious, and hearty. Enough said.
This place is great and the service was amazing! I will definitely becoming back here in the near future!
They were fabulous and meticulous with my food allergies. It was really different than the other Chinese food around here! I enjoyed trying new things. The rice noodles were SO delicious, it was hard to tell they were even gluten free because the texture was absolutely perfect. We will be back!
Absolutely flavourful and delicious food. Got the Xi Xia stirred noodles and spicy beef stew noodles which are popular dishes here and I highly recommend. We ordered a second bowl of the Xi Xia stirred noodles!
Heard a lot of good things about Xi Xia before trying it. There are plenty of options in the menu but we got the Salt & Pepper Chicken as an appetizer (which came kinda late, we got there around 6: 30 on a Friday so understandably busy), the Spicy Beef Stew Noodle, and the Spicy Pork Ribs Over Rice. Our favorite was the Spicy Beef Stew Noodle, flavorful with the Szechuan peppers and the tender beef. However, we found the pork dish disappointing and bland, not spicy either.
Because it is handmade, the noodles are really chewy. Tastes like a popular hand-made kalguksu restaurant in the neighborhood. The spiciness of all menu items can be adjusted. The prices are reasonable, and the store and atmosphere are cozy. I am very satisfied with this place every time I go.
The beef noodles (thin noodle) are the ideal gloomy, cold weather meal. Not too spicy but definitely has a little kick. When you are seated, you scan a QR code and order through your phone which i personally find very convenient. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. Also definitely try the salt and pepper chicken nuggets!
Let me start by saying that Hunan Garden is my favorite Chinese restaurant. They had a really bad fire, and since then I have been looking for a very good Chinese restaurant to replace this one until they open. I’ve tried a couple different ones was very dissatisfied.tried this Xixia CHINESE for the first time and it is so darn good. The service was wonderful, and very friendly, will definitely be back
My husband and I had lunch at Xi Xia after visiting Penzey’s Spice in this shopping center. What a great surprise!
We received a warm welcome and an excellent food recommendation from one of the owners.
The handmade noodles in delicious beef broth was just what we needed on a cold winter afternoon.
Our leftovers were well packed in a sturdy container. We also enjoyed the kitschy decorations. The restaurant is clean.
This is a fantastic restaurant with the best homemade noodles! Great atmosphere and super nice people!
Went with my husband, mom and grandmother and had an awesome experience. The server was very helpful with the menu. All noodle dishes were phenomenal.
Service and food are amazing! You can always guarantee consistency. Such kind and outgoing staff. Witnessed the owner running across the street to get a customer a cake for her bday and to celebrate her pregnancy. Just so thoughtful!
Great noodle spot! The kitchen even threw something together for our picky eater that he loved. We'll be back!
We ordered pork ears with special sauce and spicy gizzards for appetizers, then lamb noodles and spicy intestines noodles for main dishes. Both my husband and I really enjoyed the pork ears cold dish and spicy intestines noodles soup. They’re delicious. Spicy gizzard is also very good but the gizzard itself is a little chewy so I didn’t like it as much as the other appetizer. I definitely love how they made their own fresh noodles here. The lamb noodles soup is very lite on salt, to me anyway, but it’s not bad at all. Definitely enjoying traditional Chinese style food restaurant like this one better than Americanized Chinese food takeout. We’ll be back.
