Yankee Kitchen Restaurant, Boardman OH

This restaurant has some of the worst unflavored food I've ever ate. The home fries seemed boiled, no seasonings, the waffles were watery. No flavor. The bathroom was as bad as a unkept gas station, the ceilings have dust and dust balls all over. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Will not be back.

The fresh homemade hash brown potatoes stand out here. A huge portion of potatoes. Most places have switched to frozen cubes that are deep-fried and tasteless. Not here! Greeted and coffee poured by the owner and great service. Cash only no credit cards though.

I ordered a ham omelet with hashbrowns. The omelet was good but could use more cheese. The potatoes tasted like raw potatoes but were fully cooked. Was not able to eat them at all. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us several times. They building is old, dated and worn but had an old school mom-and-pop feel to it.

We sat at the counter for 30 minutes.everyone near us that came in after us got their food and we’re eating and we never got waited on. You need a better system.

Waitress was fantastic! She was honest about the quality of food, pleasant and very prompt.

Won’t be visiting this restaurant again. They started vacuuming the restaurant with a very loud vaccum and our one year old couldn’t pay attention to eating. I asked them to stop after several minutes. We continued to eat and a waitress came over to our table sweeping up underneath our one year olds chair before we were finished and when I said “excuse me” because she was awfully close she said “no excuse me vacuuming would’ve taken two seconds” with an attitude. The rest of the time we were given stares and an attitude. Not only that our food was rushed because we ended up with an undercooked omelet, and burnt toast. I wasn’t asked if I wanted a refill either. I didn’t see anyone wash their hands.

Don’t listen to negative reviews. Owner on premises and I’ve been coming here for 40 years. Yeah the bathroom ain’t the greatest and sometimes the waitresses are overworked and underpaid. The burgers are excellent and better than 5 guys or BJ’S and a lot cheaper. Fish dinners are “under priced “. $19.98 for 2 dinners with a salad, fries and soup. This is a budget priced joint with some personality. Breakfast lunch and early dinner. Give it a shot, just tip the waitress.

The food and the service were both very good and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely go back

Bacon was tasteless or I should say it tasted like grease. Toast was cold, eggs were broken, waitress was frazzled. Will never go back.

The best family style restaurant.always great service.food is wonderful, no matter what you get.highly recommended.

Good breakfast. Service was decent. Restaurant smelled kind of musty and turned me off from the beginning. I would come back.

The food is really good and the staff is friendly, especially the owner, who is also one of the cooks. You get large portions and there's a large variety on the menu to choose from. They have a lot of different omlettes and breakfast choices as well as lunch and dinner choices. You can get breakfast anytime. Their Reuben omlette is one of my favorites and also their Greek omlette. My husband loves their biscuits and gravy with eggs on top.

Always great food. Friday fish is the bomb! It's huge, and taste great. Only$9.99 well worth it. Where else can you find a fish dinner at that price. Breakfast is also very good with large portions. What are you waiting for go.
