Gorgeous restaurant that makes a small space feel very inviting.the staff was courteous and attentive, and service was so quick for a friday night dinner! I highly recommend the sushi.everything was fresh and flavorful for a reasonable price (about $25 per person).

Good food here. I’m no sushi expert but enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Only open from 5pm-9pm.

I have refrained from reviewing Yoshi's as I was afraid that this gem would get too busy; but they did it on their own and completely deserve my review too.so I shall scream atop the mountains and rooftops to share: this is hands down Columbus' best and most authentic Japanese restaurant!

I'd place Yoshi's in the izakaya category, but then without the smoke, small space, and etc.etc.food wise, this is the closest to authentic Japanese food we can get in Columbus anymore.some of my favorites: the okra stir-fry, gyutan (beef tongue), karaage (fried chicken thighs), ika geso karaage (fried octopus tentacles), tako wasabi (octopus in wasabi sauce), YOU MUST GET THE SALMON KUSHI! (salmon belly with green onion on skewers) they melt in your mouth, okonomiyaki (seafood cabbage pancake), hamachi gama (yellowtail jaw). And most other staples are all delicious!

I try to be as respectful as possible every time I come since we are soooo fortunate to have Yoshi's here in town! I really appreciate their service and attention to detail; you'll notice on your way to the restrooms all the labeled shochu/sake bottles in the back, from their regulars that come and open a bottle, then come back again and have more of their own stash; this is just like back in Asia.

Overrated.
I would hope the manager re-evaluates his staff that was working. She was incredibly rude and dishonesty. Food was average.never go back there again

This place definitely had authentic Japanese vibes and I felt like I was in Japan! The restaurant is very nice inside. I would recommend if you’re looking to try some real Japanese in Columbus! The food was a bit expensive but that’s expected and we would go back again.

Wild range of food and fresh sashimi selection, eventually found ochazuke in Columbus! Amazing quality too.

One of the best Japanese restaurant in Columbus. They have good variety of food and the quality is great. You can't go wrong with any of their sushi and the Salmon Ochazuke is my favorite. I tried their matcha ice cream for the first time and it is not disappointing; it comes with red bean and wafer which is really nice.

I left Columbus since 2020 and it’s my first back to here! This was my first meal and I was excited for it.

For the food, the nigiri is fresh. I love the uni though each takes $19. But it tastes sweet and fatty!

I just wanna leave two “tips” for the people who would like to try:
1. Take a picture before having it. I did many selections of nigiri. Until I almost done with that, I found that they didn’t give the salmon roe nigiri and told the server. Then they told me that I should got that and finished that. Fortunately, I took pictures when I got each plate. Or I will pay for that without getting it.

2. If could, do take out orders rather than dine in. There were two guys and one lady for serving. Nobody checks, but it’s okay. We didn’t get the tea/water refill even someone choked. I tried to raise a hand and call the guys but they were “busy”. I appreciate the lady gave a refill when we gonna leave. I recommend do take out orders because at least you can get water by yourselves.

It was my first time visiting on Friday evening. Made a reservation in advance on the phone. It was already 90% full. We were promptly seated.

We had a couple of appetizers and rolls-everything was just perfect. The servers were nice, the seats were adequately separated for privacy, the lighting wasn't too dark (most sushi places I've been they are usually dark), and the interior was nice and clean including the bathroom.

I saw lots of Asian - Japanese and that tells you how good their food is. Definitely coming back!

One of my all time favorite places to eat. I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always extremely polite and attentive and the food is always fresh and delicious. Their sushi is second to none. The menu has a great variety for those who aren't fans of sushi as well. With their small plates, ramen, and other entrees, they have something for everyone on their menu. It can be expensive depending on what you get but their is a decent range of prices on their menu. If you love sushi you definitely need to come here and try it!

I love this place so much I come at least once a month. So much selection and consistently great quality. If you want an actually authentic Japanese dining experience. This is the closest you’ll get in Columbus.

Update/Edit: I've been to this place over 12 times and it consistently has great food. I've tried so many things on the menu and all are unique/great in their own way. Great service too, one of the best in the state!

Yoshi's is an authentic Japanese food of the well-established restaurant in the metro Columbus area. They import fresh seafood from the Toyosu (previous Tsukiji) - ichiba of the biggest sea food market in Tokyo, Japan. Best Japanese restaurant in town.
