Wow! I was so disappointed and I was rooting for this place to be a hidden gem but it isn't! Go for the wine and leave to have food elsewhere. Pizza was mediocre, eggplant was greasy and looked like a bowl of mush otherwise for an appetizer they gave us were donuts with cheese laid on top I don't know what they call this but it was sub par. This place must be trying to fail with all the great Italian restaurants and families in the area how hard can it be to find great family recipes? It's not! And everything is way overpriced here. I believe their wine is half price on Wednesdays that's probably the only day to go if they still have that deal.

Nice place for families, friends, or even if you're solo for the evening. The meatballs are a must try! We also ordered two different styles of pizza. The pizzas were half priced that night so be sure to check for their specials. It's a great time to try out the menu. Both had fresh toppings with a lot of flavor. The crust is more of a thick bread; I prefer a thinner, crunchier crust. I'm a bit biased. We met and talked with the owner. Great guy! Not that it is important, but the seats are metal so don't expect cushy seating. Good time had by all.

Atmosphere is great. Very comfortable. We sat outside. Flavorful food but unfortunately half of it was cold. I gave it a 5 star for service and Atmosphere. Like I said if the food was hot it would have been perfect.

First time here. Food was amazing. I ordered several things to try. And I was not disappointed. I will definitely come back again. Thank you Yosteria for an amazing dinner.

I cannot say enough how absolutely amazing this restaurant is. If you have not been here you need to go. Everything was incredible from the atmosphere to the service to the food. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

First time at YOSTERIA. Very quaint setting. Trying to be authentic Italian. Unless you know the Italian language, you don't know what most of the menu items are. Our table had a few appetizers, which were OK, but nothing extraordinary. One of our group LOVED the Olive Siciliana. The pizzas were FANTASTIC. Toppings were very limited, but the dough is the best I've had. The staff was super friendly. We were asked many times if we needed anything. Not just by our waitress, but from any staff member walking by. We were a little put off when paying. They would not make separate checks - only one check per table. This makes for a very awkward figuring of the check when some of our group bought bottles of wine and others did not. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We'll be back for the pizza and atmosphere.

Just like Nonna’s house when you first walk in the front door. Walking in from behind back that’s a different story, Nonna didn’t have an adorable well lit backyard with outdoor seating, string lights, and soothing Italian music. Pizza topping options was a little underwhelming, but overall the food was pretty good! Limoncello spritz was great and the staff made our experience overall a great time.

Like spending an evening in Italy without getting on a plane. Great service and delicious food. Can't wait to go back again.

Neat restaurant in old home (like your grandmas) in Smoky Hallow. Good food and fair prices. Beware, they do add a $10 corkage fee to wine PURCHASED there. We asked about that, and they waived the fee.

First drop in here as they have only been open for inside dining for a short time. First impression, the atmosphere was different and a bit unpolished. However, once you get that It's a retro type setting back to a Grandmother's (the Owners' actually) blue collar, steel mill town home you get the concept of an invite at Grandma's house with Family and Friends for a great authentic Italian Dinner. Great appetizer dishes (in fact, that's what we used to make up our dinner). The Bread and Peppers are top notch in a Region where virtually every local restaurant has a pepper and oil option. Service was great and each server had a Friendly, welcoming approach and smiles on their faces. The Owner was checking in with each guest and it was just an overall great experience. Welcome to Grandma's House for a real Youngstown Italian dining experience. Didn't see any truly heavy pasta type dishes, but also would have chosen what was offered anyhow as it is a unique menu experience. Please to note, that the Grandson has added a bar inside and outside as shown in the photos!

We had our engagement party here and the food was definitely delicious. I like that we felt like family while there and had the space all to ourselves. The bad being right there for people to get drinks was a huge plus.

Attended a private event held at Yosteria over the Christmas Break. Alex and his staff were wonderful: attentive and generous to everyone in the group. Food and wine were delicious and plentiful. I can't recommend this venue highly enough, and I praise them for what they are doing to the neighborhood!

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is great. Reminds me of a “osteria” that you see in Italian tv shows/movies. Highly recommend, as you will not be disappointed.

We did a pre planned menu for ten people. It was perfect. Food came out at the right times and everything was delicious. Excited to go back.
