ZIPS Cleaners, Cincinnati OH

This place was amazing when it first started. The owner was the operator and the clothing came out perfect every time. Now the prices have doubled and I have had an issue with my clothing every single visit in the last year. Issues include - mildew clothing smell requiring multiple visits for them to try to get rid of the smell, broken buttons, on my last visit a white dress shirt stained pink (multiple contacts to get them to provide a credit ultimately resulted in being charged $7 to clean a dozen ties and even those didn't come back clean), on this visit my white dress pants look as though they were just hung back on a hanger, with cat hair still on them and still smell like the department store, a general glance this morning at my other dress pants appear to be hung back on the hanger and not cleaned. RUN!

Don’t waste your money! Go across the street to Tide! Everything that’s cheap isn’t always good.

They’ve lost our belongings ($165 Althleta Ski Pants) and even burned our top ($70 skims top). The last straw was recently when they severely faded, shrunk, and didn’t even clean my jumpsuit ($200 Nike Tech) worn once and now ruined.

What’s unfortunate is their accountability and ownership. What’s disappointing is that we’ve tried to continue to do business with them after the first two mishaps spending thousands annually and their response is it’s not our fault.

When customers drop off their belongings to a dry cleaner you only expect for these belongs to come back as you left them. If those are your expectations ZIPS is not the place you want to go.

Price def beats tide across the street! But even better they are way more personable and i enjoy picking up my dry cleaning because they always make me laugh

My clothes look great, but my pants (which didn't need dry cleaning just regular laundering) are missing the big silver buttons that hold the waistband in place and the front button appears to have been sewn on very loosely. I've left a message for the shop to look around for two large silver Calvin Klein buttons. I figured there was a chance this review would be seen by management sooner. I need to be able to wear that suit tomorrow night and can't without buttons so I'm a little panicky.

Everything else looks great. Will update review to more stars after I hear back and get my buttons back. Posted a photo as well so y'all know what they look like.

Ruined one of my white dress shirts with a stain that cannot be removed. Cheap service but never coming back here

Zips is quick to respond to any questions I have. I’ve used their dry cleaning service and their laundry service and have been extremely happy each time. All of my items were done quickly and turned out great. Give Zips a try!

Consistently fantastic every time. Went today and the workers were super nice and finished my suit (same day) hours ahead of schedule, in time for my flight. 10/10. Would recommend.

Here is the quote that is all over their website:
"Plus, get your dry cleaning to us before 9am and we’ll have it back to you the same day by 5pm at the latest. Garments dropped off after 9am will be ready by 5pm the very next day. "

I ran over to drop off clothes today (after 9am) for pick up tomorrow, but apparently Fridays are not included in the above guarantee. It does not say that on the website, so I'm just warning others so they do not waste a trip. I stopped at Cleaner Concepts on Erie on my way home, and they were really nice and able to accommodate.

Recently I have picked up my sweaters that were cleaned and they have a horrible horrible smell. They cleaned again twice and the horrible smell remains. I love the friendliness and efficiency of Zips but I do not think I can return because the smell is of horrible vomit.

I’ve dry cleaned my suits at zips several times now but every single time I’m left with a small stench in them. As of most recently 10/14/2022, the stench was so bad that I had to put it in a different room to prevent the smell from spreading to the rest of the house. They usually do a decent job with ironing but this time both pieces were extremely wrinkled. I kept going back as I enjoyed their friendly customer service but I definitely won’t be going back there again after how bad my suits turned out.

I hate posting a negative review, but I am not getting response related to some recent issues, First, this year I had drapes cleaned this spring and then they lost the drapes. They were found in August. I felt like service was great and my clothes continued to be well serviced. Most recently, my clothes have come back smelling horrible. It's like they have been cleaned in dirty water. I brought them back and asked that they be re-cleaned. They still smell bad. This has never happened in the past. Finally, I am still missing a dress that was brought for cleaning. I have called to speak with the manager the last couple weeks but still have not had any response back. I'm really frustrated with this vast change in experience and will have to choose another place of service.

Zips was great until recently. My order came back with lots of wrinkles, nothing like the quality service we use to receive. Last order smells like vomit, and stunk my house up when I brought my clothes back fro Zips. One pair of pants had some kind of stain that bled on them. Clothes aren't pressed well and I end up having to iron them after I bring them home. There is a new woman working that does not do her job well and needs to be gotten rid of. Somebody needs to get the problems fixed! I will be taking the order back to be redone!
