Very nice apartment building if I hadn’t signed a lease somewhere else I would’ve definitely signed here

Extremely disappointed with the dishonest communication that I experienced at this property. I was told by the manager she would honor a specific rate, plus 2 weeks free.

When I was sent the link to apply by her assistant, he quoted me a higher price without the 2 weeks free. I explained what the manager had agreed to, and he stated that he doesn't know why she would say such a thing. Then, I include a screenshot of what she wrote on a floorplan she printed out, to provide proof. I also stated that I would like the 2 weeks free spread across the lease duration. He said that he would talk with the manager. This is all communication through email.

He comes back (still by email) to say that he spoke with her and she confirmed that the agreed upon rate would be honored, as well as the 2 weeks free, spread through the lease period, as long as I applied the same day-I did. Again, this is all in writing/email.

Time comes to sign the lease and contract states the rate without the discount of the 2 weeks being applied. I provide proof of the assistant stating he spoke with the manager and that she agreed. She says that she wasn't aware of my correspondence with the assistant manager, and that she would bot honor the 2 weeks across the lease period. Even though I presented the proof of the email exchange by forwarding and screenshot. So somebody or everyone is being dishonest and it's not me.

Disappointing, unethical and unprofessional, and? Especially, when I've already put in my 30-day notice with my current place. So, add inhumane to the list as well. I thought I picked up on used car salesman vibes.

Perhaps I saved myself a headache in the longrun. Beware

Watch out for surprise fees. I moved out of a spotless apartment, and was assured multiple times by the property manager that there would be no cleaning fees. Oops! I guess that wasn’t right, because what showed up in my mail two weeks later was a cleaning fee for an apartment that was already clean.

I've lived here for about a year and a half and really only have positive things to say about the community. The units are very quiet and well-designed. Management is always available and beyond-call responsive. The building and grounds are always being maintained and improved. The people who live here are generally very considerate and nice. The location is exceptional. Would definitely stop by 2121 SE Belmont Leasing if you are looking for a place in the area and it's within your budget!

The best living experience I've had in an apartment. They're converted condos and as such have concrete floors and ceilings which means very little noise transfer
