24 Hour Fitness reviews
24Weel laid out, friendly staff, good variety of equipment, nice crowd of "regulars" at a variety of fitness levels. Good gym for anyone starting out or already dedicated to their workout routine. (Covid restrictions apply, gym is currently closed incrementally throughout the day for sanitizing)
Christopher, Rebekah, Nick are awesome of communication, as I liked Hannah or حنة the girl with Arabic name, we dont forget the pure cute girl Kate, the have good communication with costumers for Mask issue and cleaning procedure as they polite, the mask rules is stupid but they know how to deal with it and communicate properly with customers.
Frank, who is the manager has the worst attitude I’ve ever witnessed. Please avoid this gym at all costs and give your money to a place that actually respects its members. I recommend planet fitness, they are ACTUALLY open 24 hours and much friendlier.
24 hour fitness stole from their members by continuing to charge membership dues even after closing their doors. This company cannot be trusted with your credit card information. There is a class action lawsuit pending. Do not do business with this company, find a different gym.
Carefully read that you will be charged an annual fee of $50 for "upkeep" in addition to your regular membership fee. Once you're in a one year contract you are stuck, regardless of your circumstances. You can freeze your account but they will get your money one way or another eventually. The guy on the phone was nice enough but not able to help. I tried to send a message on their website and it just sits there and doesn't go through.
For a big gym, it is very nice. They have a very adequate supply of treadmills in cardio equipment. Considering how busy it is, the gym is pretty clean.
Lindsay is the best trainer ever! I was really scared to go to the gym before I met her. I also love how Jasmine at the front desk remembers me and welcomes me in. The vibe here is really respectful and inclusive. Zumba classes are fun. They have two of the self-powered treadmills that are pretty awesome. Locker room and pool area is clean.
I like this gym. They have a good range of bodybuilding and also fitness equipment and good cardio. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is even when I go at what would be a dead time, its still busy, and the locker room is small, but a good gym with plenty of parking
The “Seated Leg Curl” Machine has been broken and stuck on the same weight setting for weeks now and even after asking an employee about it, nothing has been done. The machine is still stuck and doesn’t allow for any weight change. You would think they would fix something like this immediately, seeing as this is a gym. Very disappointing.
A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS, they put you on a year plan without telling you, (cause who actually reads the 3 page paper) and ALSO I just figured out AFTER that year, THEY STILL CHARGE YOU $30 a month, you have to call and wait 30 minutes on the phone to get a CS rep, then when you try to cancel, they give you “special offers” and you sit on the phone for another 30 minutes of listening to them offer you special prices. Terrible gym, terrible service, never again.
I've been a member here since it opened. I'm very disappointed that they haven't added any new equipment in a very long time. I have a low yearly fee and it's close to my home, but if those factors were different, I would be going elsewhere. If they expect new members and keep current members, they need to step up and get better equipment.
It seems like the place is going down fast. For those us who like to watch tv while working out, they removed the work-out equipment which were equipped with small tv's. Now there are about 10 big tv's hanging from ceiling and 4 of the have audio issues. What the heck? Time to look for another Fitness center. No wonder this place has a lot of one star rating. And no Wifi.
I like this place since this is close from home and their stuff is friendly. I have 2 things which I do not like at this gym.
I always go to around 5PM, and it Tuesday to Thursday tends to be busy, worse case there is no open spot for treadmill.
1, cleanliness
Machine is fine, but locker room is not clean. I will never be motivated to take shower at this
2, location of locker
Man's locker is located at furthest from entrance. So you need to keep walking to the end to end before and end of your workout. It was fine initially but it gets bother me since I go there a lot.
Fights routinely occur, some requiring police involvement, on the dirty and overcrowded basketball courts, "dibs" are called and lines are frequent during prime time on the high-demand equipment, and cleanliness is no guarantee - my mother contracted pink-eye from the treadmills.
I was just working out in a heavy bag that "they set up" for you to workout. One of the women who works there just let one part of the equipment go and hit me on the knee. She acted like I wasn't even there. I am a paying member. That was rude. No apology. Sad that I felt unwanted so left without finishing my workout.
The yoga classes that are taught in the little room can be very distracting cause ppl come in and out of the room to drop off weights or to check things into there locker. Yoga is supposed to be about relaxation.
Staff is nice, and the equipment is good. However, the cleanliness needs to be stepped up quite a bit. Walking through you can sense that the whole place hasn’t been deep cleaned in quite a while. Cleanliness is one of the most important aspects of any gym that is my justification on giving it a 3 star rating.
I've Gaven this location another shot. Use to work out here for nearly three years straight, and moved over to the tanasbourne location, which is obviously the best 24 for the Beaverton area. Came to this location last week and it wasn't all that bad. They can use some new equipment but I expect it will come soon. Pool area smelled a little funky when we were walking to the sauna.
I considered this "my gym". I overlooked the dirty conditions. The Men's urinals smelled awful 24HRs. Then they raised my rate. It wasn't much, but it made me notice how poorly the facility is kept up even more. Then I notice that they charged me two annual membership fees in 12months time and never informed me they were charging that upon sign up.
Well.can't do it any more. When I brought it up with the manager, he said they have had the best last 2 years as if daring me to cancel. Yeah, I bet they have had a profitable 2 years charging that new Annual fee on top of your monthly.
Crunch gym opened up the street. Aloha. Brand new equipment. Very Clean and New. Better Vibe. A tenth of the price.
Before today I probably would have given this gym like 3 stars, and I intended to keep going here because it's convenient for me.
Reason for the 3 stars: The gym is frequently crowded with people who seem to care more about socializing than working out. Also it has a bit of a grimy feel to it, and people don't return weights and clean up after themselves.
Reason for 1 star: Like I said I could have looked past the other stuff because it is a convenient location for me. However I initially paid a year in advance which is up soon, so today I asked about setting up month to month for when my year expires. They told me to switch to month to month I would have to pay the initiation fee again. I told them no I would just find a new gym. That seems like a stupid business practice to me. You would think they would want to keep an existing customer at $30 per month, but I guess not.
