808 Grinds - Hillsboro reviews
16I've been here multiple multiple times it must be under new ownership. Due to the service that was given and the quality of the food. Once again I always did enjoy coming to eat here with the family but after the last service we might not return.
Ordered takeout from 808 Grinds on 10/27 via UberEats with family that was visiting. This was my first time trying the food from here after wanting to for some time. Overall, it honestly left me wanting.maybe it's because of what I ordered, so it could be worth another try in person.
The Musubi was standard tastiness and the Mac Salad was great! Presentation was really nice too. My partner tried Da Combo with Kalua Pork & Shoyu Chicken, while I tried their Salmon Teriyaki. We both agreed the Kalua Pork was overly salted and the Salmon had an overly fishy flavor. I've had both of better quality when I lived in Honolulu, so it's not like this was my first experience with the specific dishes.
Would like to try the Beaverton location in the future and try something different.
Everything from this restaurant has been excellent. My favorite is their hurricane salmon but the pork, chicken and rice are excellent too. They also have really good poki but it doesn't come with rice so you gotta order it on the side. I go here all the time for lunch since i work near there. Ordering online has been great too and the service is excellent. Try the habanero teriyaki sauce on the rice its great. One of the best Hawaiian bbq places.
Great hidden gem. Clean and has a good variety on the menu. The pork is excellent and they have sauce to go along with all dishes. Food arrives fast and fresh.
Wow! Our first visit to 808 Grinders was delicious. We got the Shoyu Chicken & the Salmon Burger. The chicken was flavored perfectly - not too much sauce, not too sweet. The salmon burger had a nice hint of heat. There are so many other menu items we want to try now.
Enjoy a variety of plate dishes that give you a Hawaiian feel. He seems to be particular about meat. There was a wide variety of sauces, and I was able to choose from three types. The taste of pulled pork is good.
This is the most solid and delicious Hawaiian food available in the entire Pacific Northwest! I can't believe I waited this long to tout the absolutely incredible food being served here on a daily basis. I guess I seceretly wanted to keep the goodness to myself. I used to live in SE Portland and would frequent the food cart on 26th 2-3 times a month. I craved it like a drug! I had to have my fix often! Now that we live on the coast, we only get into town every now and then. We were in town yesterday and had to stop at the Hillsboro location to satisfy my ongoing craving for this Awesome Hawaiian Faire! GO get you some!
Ordered 808 combo with the pig and fried chicken, Hawaiian pie, and roasted cauliflower. My experience with all Portland restaurants: decent but not great. Nothing really stands out but definitely can't call it bland or bad food (ok the cauliflower/shitake was bland). Only regret with the order was they didn't put the dessert in my takeout bag! I was looking forward to eating it but didn't get the chance, and I can't be bothered to drive back and pick it up.
Got the ribs, and as always, they were awesome! We were even surprised with live music that added to the experience!
Food, Service top notch! Parking and seating eeeeh. We got a parking spot barely we unwisely decided to eat during the lunch rush. Our bad and not to be repeated.
Seating is well an outdoor patio which is pretty basic not super comfy and or inviting. However the bamboo trees and blue skies were very much a big part of the charm. Overall great eating experience.
Real Hawaiian food and atmosphere. They have a huge menu, lots to choose from. Love tgere side sauces.
I saw this restaurant has a nice review score, and I actually didn't expect it to be this good! I tried salmon teriyaki, and it is + they got nice sauces too!
Even with our false, Government caused recession. 808 has the best prices in town for really good Hawaiian style food. Da Combo and Kahlua Pig are must buy options. You'll have enough food for lunch and dinner.
Just had lunch again today, served in under 5 minutes! They have great customer service and best Hawaiian food on the west side. Noho's on the east side.
Amazing food highly recommend the trifecta amazing staff! Everyone is so kind there. Once had an issue and manger fixed asap, wish the place was bigger mostly caters to takeout
Authentic Hawaiian cuisine. Eat here alot and have never had a bad meal. Limited indoor seating though. Ample outside seating.
It's my first time here and I'll be back for sure. The food is fantastic and the customer service is excellent. 100% recommended
