Well I was there at your shop at the time that you schedule my appointment and I sat there in the office for 35 minutes while I watched him wait on people that we're doing whatever but if a company can't keep the time on an appointment I don't want to work on my car and that's what happened when I came to your shop I guess you were out of town.

Steve runs an honest shop, I've had 3 transmissions rebuilt here over the last 25yrs. Good people you can trust.

I have used this place 3 times now for my trucks. Transmission rebuild on a 1999,1994, and a rebuild of the rear differential on a 2013 Chevy 3500 duramax. Service was professional and each time the pricing was competitive. Never had a problem after the work was done on all three trucks.

Stopped here to validate the ATRA warranty on my rebuilt transmission that was done by Rohnert Park (California) Transmission. Steve understood the process and was very accommodating. Even made a slight adjustment on the shift lever indicator at no charge. 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up!

Great Shop! My truck broke down in Portland, 5 hours away from my home. Steve agreed to have my truck towed to his shop, helped me get a tow, and then squeezed me into his schedule. Turned out to be a hard to diagnose speed sensor and it was fixed for well under $200. They could have seriously overcharged me and kept me waiting but they didn’t - they were honest and super helpful. I would definitely recommend this shop. Steve deserves a great referral!

Incredibly honest could have charged me for diagnostic had two of his mechanics look at it and gave me excellent advice.

DON’T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! These are my “Golden Guys” when it comes to your transmission! I had my work van brought in for an transmission fix and it was worth every Penny! Not super expensive but the quality is beyond expectations! A few months later I had issues with the van and bright it back (they were slammed too) and the boss was on vacation, but the man in charge (forgot his name-sorry) worked it through that it was a wiring issue done by another shop I had visited- and my girlfriend refuses to do anything with her car unless these guys give the “ok”! That’s the kind of trust we have in them! EVERY person in this building is worth their weight in gold! From the front desk lady to the guy who sweeps floors, you won’t be overcharged and you will get the best of the best! Thank You!

Steven said he would call me back and never did. They said they will work on my car and never got back to me

The transmission went out in my car. It was recommended to me to take my car to Advances Transmission and Gear and I'm glad that I did. Both Steve and Greg were so kind and patient with me and even gave me updates on my car. They explained everything in detail for me, so I knew exactly what was going on and what I could expect as far as a time line goes and when I would get my car back. I am not happy that I had to get a new transmission, but I am very glad that I chose this place to handle it!

Steve and the guys at this shop are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They replaced the transmission in my 2004 GMC Yukon XL and hasn't had a problem since. They even were open to me dropping by and having them make sure it was running smoothly a few months later. They are awesome! Would definitely go here again for any transmission, gear related problems!

I've been going to Steve's shop for a every long time now, I've had upwards of 5 or 6 cars serviced by them from my Toyota to my mercedes-benz. I have nothing but amazing words about this place I'm so impressed on how quick and efficient Steve and his crew is. I'm so happy I've found this place and I will continue doing business with them!

Definitely recommend this shop for transmission repair, Steve was half the cost of another shop I go to and had me up and running in a timely manner. I have put 15k miles on the transmission since the repair and still going strong.

Honest, good advice from Greg just now. Faced with a very difficult problem and he gave me a ton of good information and possibilities related to my problem and advised me wisely. You really can't put a price on honest tradesman. Would definitely reccomend their service, and that is not something I give out lightly.

My transmission blew while on a road trip. Advances Tran was willing to squeeze in an appointment to check it out. 1 week later my transmission was fixed! Every other place was at least a month out. Top notch customer service and communication all along the way. Told me what they would do, told me when they would check back in, and then they would actually check back in. They even lowered the car down for me one morning so that I could grab my snowboard and gear to ride Mt Hood. Greg made sure that I drive my van around Portland for a couple days, to let the transmission work itself in, so I wouldn't be far in case things went wrong. Really appreciated their concern. 10/10 would recommend.

Great! Steve was very nice. Took my car for a test drive, then told me what I was concerned about was totally normal. Integrity!
