Advantage Dental+ Salem Edgewater St. reviews
7I went for a new patient visit and everyone was very friendly. The dentist was thorough in her exam, and with her explanation of what my x-rays showed. I would recommend Advantage Dental!
I had a tooth pulled by her and I'm not sure if she went too deep with the shot or she cracked my jaw but I had bad pain for over 2 months.she pulled so hard on the tooth I could feel the pressure on the opposite side and now my jaw pops all the time. The tooth should never have been pulled but she's not a great dentist so she does what's easy and still makes money. If your on pacific source/ohp you can change dentists and go to shore view dental in keizer. They are great!
The staff were very professional, polite and thorough! They made me feel comfortable while I was there getting work done, and would recommend them to anyone needing dental work!
We don’t mind going to a Run down looking place bc sometimes they have the best people working there. This place is the definition of what you see is what you get. The Receptionist asks questions but immediately talks over you the second she hears you disagree. And the “Dentist” Dr has no sympathy for clients, of course unless your not using OHP insurance and are paying out of pocket, now that changes their “care” completely
I originally started going to this location after having a good experience with the Dentist and team. However, by the time my next appointment (all appointments here are ALWAYS scheduled months out) arrived the good dentist had moved to a new location in the Portland area.
At first the new dentist lady was okay. Brisk. Kinda to the point. She did an okay job on a front tooth. She was irritated when I asked for the tooth to be smoothed that she worked on.
Next appointment was a complete fiasco. She was not gentle in the least and caused much pain and blood. She continually would stop working and go into a room behind us that I assumed was the restroom (in the opposite direction of other patients) and would be gone 10 minutes at a time. Who knows, perhaps she had diarrhea? Ate something wrong? Snorting something?
By the time she was done working on my front tooth, I was gripping the arms of the chair in pain. I commented on the pain and was told it would be gone within two days.
It lasted months. And got worse…and worse. Eventually I couldn’t drive anywhere the pain was so bad. At this point my husband took me to another dentist. I was told that the previous dental work was done improperly and I now had an infection in that tooth and it was completely dead and I needed a root canal asap.
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! If you are on OHP you HAVE other options. It’s not worth it. I’m paying for her mistakes and it’s beyond costly!
The dentist listened to my concerns and she was very understanding and patient. The dental assistant and receptionist we're very kind. They made me feel very comfortable, I felt like I was in good hands.
Thanks to a great team!
