AFC Urgent Care NW Portland

My experience with AFC Urgent Care in NW Portland has been totally awful. I had a primary care appointment that was scheduled a week in advance. I showed up on time to my appointment, but was made to wait 1 hour and 27 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to see a doctor. It took them over 45 minutes just to get me into a room. And then I sat alone in that room for almost another 45 minutes. The automatic motion light went out on me several times, leaving me alone in a dark room. I kept track and took screenshots and I am not exaggerating at all about the time. I had my phone in my hand and took note of the time the doctor finally walked in. As I said, in total, it was 1 hour and 27 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. When I was finally seen, the doctor rushed through the appointment, barely listening to my concerns, literally took notes on torn bits of scratch paper, and then rushed me out the door. I did get the specialist referrals I wanted. However, to my chagrine, they referred me to specialists that don't accept my insurance. I had to then call back and inform them of their mistake, where they then asked me to find specialists covered by my insurance myself and email them the info. I did the legwork that day and emailed them the info. It then took them another week to make the referrals using the info I found for them. I just called them wondering why I hadn't heard from either specialist's office and they said they just made the referrals yesterday, 10 days after my initial appointment and 8 days after I gave them info for specialists covered by my insurance, after they bumbled it the first try. I'm filing a complaint against them with my insurance company and switching primary care providers immediately. This place is the worst medical facility I've ever been to.

Worst experience. I had to book appointment because I had family emergency and had to travel back to my home country ASAP.

We booked appointment for 6: 30 pm on 02/15. No. They asked me to checkin once I reached to test center. I called no one answered until 7.00.

Also, no one answered phone calls.

Please find another place to do testing.

I had an appt yesterday morning and then had to bring my aunt for an appt later that night. Both times everyone was very professional and helpful. And they really went above and beyond with my aunt. She has a different take on reality than most and can be very loud and boisterous. They handled it very professionally, yet were kind as well.

This place screws around. I’ve waited for 30 minutes I’ve been told about the wrong test and I’ve had it with COVID.

I was treated quickly and kindly. Person at the desk was very helpful at working out my insurance needs. Thank you!

Couldn’t “verify” my health insurance. I waited an hour. Ladies at the front desk were rude. After hundreds of dollars spent, they send me home with a piece of paper that says I should get some rest. This place just wants your money. Beware.

Very efficient. Very down to earth and concerned Doctor. Got my rx right after for my eye.

I love that they have hour free parking lot! I cant stand parking on the busy streets. Very convenient and clean area.

The office was clean and the receptionist was super nice. I often find that doctors visits means dealing with a lot of unfriendly staff, but not here. Maria was super sensitive and made me feel really comfortable. The doc was just the cherry on the icing. He listened to everything I had to say and I really felt like he was concerned for my health and recovery. This wasn’t my first visit to this clinic and definitely won’t be my last.

Closed because of inclement weather when ALL the stores around were open and there is NO snow whatsoever.
Plus the website was saying it was open.

I liked this clinic, everyone was so nice, I was scared of getting my blood taken but they helped. The doctor was very, very helpful with all the questions I had and the cost wasn't that high.

Great service and they are fast! I did a walk-in and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes:)

Reception and billing are incompetent not worth the risk to your credit score. They make mistakes and you will end up paying for them.

I've been to this clinic a few times, both times I was treated like a child. I'm 38! I was barely examined and questioned about my injury, sent on my way with a lower back strain diagnosis and a anti inflammatory injection. Today I saw my family physician, who diagnosed me with a pinched nerve, also treated me like a human being. I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic, besides you will wait just as long as you would at any other er or clinic.

Avoid at all costs incredibly rude and unprofessional. Sent my account to collections because of their own error and were completely unapologetic. Trust me you don’t want to deal with them
