Grocery Store Albertsons reviews
18This Albertson's has gotten a lot better with the addition of self checkouts, multiple cashiers always on duty, and the app, always check the app for really good digital coupons.
The staff are friendly and never make you wish you had stopped another place. My friend had vehicle issues one day and returned another evening, the clerk remembered him and ask how it was going.
I almost never shop here just because where I lived before the Albertsons was the fancy expensive food store, so I kind of block it out of my mind. This occasion they went WAY above and beyond to help me when I really needed it. Every other place in town was out of the supplies I needed for my mother's medical equipment, so the customer service lady went and took the stuff off the shelves and had it waiting for me with a cart and everything at the Customer service desk. I will definitely be doing more shopping here in the future thanks to her.
Run down store, bathroom was keypad locked for guests with only access codes at customer service. Adults needing permission to 'be'. Not shopping at a dirty store that locks its bathroom presumptuously.
Big corporate chain grocery store, sub par produce but they have a lot a of snacks!
Edit: still one of the last halfway-decent chain grocers in tow, can't say I hate it. But once they remodel it like they did to poor gentrified freddies over there, may god help us all.
Most of everything you need is here. Last couple of years or so it's upscaled some into carrying more organic products than they had used to carry. Clean store decent service and selection. It is not bad to shop at.
Use the app and if you want the limited weeklies I do recommend going early on Wednesday sometimes it's hard to get meat deals later in the week.
Had a horrible experience getting customer service help from an employee named Seth, very rude experience. The fruit I inquired about was rotten as well. Two thumbs down because I don't have a third one.
Employees here are great. Food has always been great quality. And they seem as if they care about their community and doing right by them.
Easily ranks in the top 15 Albertson's locations I've had the pleasure to visit. Have I been to that many? Meh, gotta be close.
Employees are always the best and very helpful. Store is always nice and clean. Also a good selection in the flower department.
Always friendly employees and willing to go the extra mile. I love those Albertsons. They knew me by face as I'm a frequent shopper and they say I was incapable of loading my groceries and without asking they were right there helping in the cold wintry rain. Not too mention other patrons of this wonderful grocery store have also been an amazing wonder. Thank you ma'am for posting for my groceries that day at the Royal Ave store. Bless your heart and family.
I never have a good experience here the only employees who are decent are Starbucks workers and they tend to not even get my drink order right no matter what I order. The store would smell so bad you could hardly walk through half the store, that has changed recently which could be just cause of the change in seasons or they are actually dealing with the cleanliness of the meat department area, which was disgusting. I wish this store was better than it is because it's close to home making a quick stop at the store easier but due to the cleanliness and horrible customer service experiences I have not to mention other issues I don't go to this store and spend the extra money on gas to go else where. I don't recommend going to them!
On 18th Street in Eugene there was a homeless man with a blanket over the toilet wall and I could not use the restroom it was taking up all the time that I was there I complain I don't know what happened but I went back in twice and the guy was still in there not happy with not being able to go to the bathroom when I have to go
Self checkout is a nightmare at this Albertsons. I was stopped 6 times by the machine and Each time the person running it took a long time to get to me. With it not being busy at all, there was no obvious reason it should have taken so long to get through this checkout.
Outside of not having a bulk section Albertsons is the bee's knees. Use the app and points to save on gas, and it's usually cleaner and less busy than some of the other local stores.
I have lived in this area for well over 1 year now, and thought that expired packaged food, and poor customer service was going to be temporary.
If you want to have meat cut in the deli, expect to either be ignored or skipped over for a more “convenient” transaction. If you’re trying to buy ANY of the pre-packaged cut fruit or vegetable trays (with the sealed ranch), more than likely they’re a few days passed expiration. The management here is a joke and truly insulting to working people that actually do their jobs.
Always use the self checkout and almost always need assistance as I am computer illiterate, lol, treated with patience and they give me info on how to get it right. Also they always have the Peanut butter cup cookies I love
