I'm so grateful I got to experience our birth with Alma! Laura and Janelle's deep maternal spirits were so gentle and welcomed as I entered motherhood for the first time. Long form appointments with empathetic providers in my opinion are a must for pregnancy and Alma certainly has the same beliefs in their care model.

My experience with Alma was fantastic and although I ultimately transferred to a hospital, I absolutely recommend their care. The prenatal care was incredible, all my questions were answered during the hour-long appointments. During my labor at the birth center I felt supported and cared for. Based on unforeseable risk factors I transferred to a hospital where I had my baby. I am thankful that the Alma team recognized the risk factors and transferred me to the hospital to ensure my safety and my baby’s.

Alma is incredible! There’s nothing I would change about my birth experience here. The midwives are amazing, offering years of wisdom and experience but also deep emotional connection. They made themselves available at all hours for questions, it was super accessible and personalized care. I love Alma! Go to them!

I had both my daughters at Alma. With my older daughter in 2017 Melissa was amazing, and we loved working with Janelle and Julie for my second pregnancy in 2020. I am an RN and knew I did not want to birth in a hospital, both my birth experiences were wonderful at Alma. The prenatal care is amazing too, with a full hour each appointment to ask questions and really talk. So much better than rushed clinic visits. If you want an out of hospital birth I highly recommend Alma, we loved our experience both times.

I couldn’t recommend Alma more! My midwives took the time to listen to me and support me at all of my prenatal visits, and included and engaged my husband as well. My birth at the birth center was empowering, comfortable, and free from unnecessary interventions. We will definitely use Alma again for our next pregnancy and birth.

It would be impossible to fit in a short review my deep feelings about Alma. I came from out of state in the 7th month of my pregnancy and chose to trust Alma with my first birth in their birth center because I felt more heard, seen, and cared for in my first appointment than I ever had. I literally left the clinic that day with tears of joy and relief. My prenatal, birth, and postpartum care blew me away because they went above and beyond on many occasions.
I'm now pregnant with my second and I'm choosing Alma again without any hesitation even though it'll be 100% out of pocket. I have complete trust in these women. They are knowledgeable, experienced, capable, and incredibly professional. But they are also warm, validating, and empathic. I've never felt more deeply safe as a mom than I have at Alma. It's not an exaggeration to say, the gift they have given me has been life-changing. I feel SO lucky to live close enough to get cared for by Laura, Taylor, Olivia, and Janelle at Alma. You won't regret choosing Alma.

I had my first birth center experience in July with my third baby. I decided to join alma halfway through my pregnancy and that was the best decision I made. The midwives are wonderful, they listen and really check in with you to see how you’re doing. I never felt rushed during my appointments either. When I had any sort of worry about baby they never brushed it off but instead they helped reassure me and got me the care I needed. My birthing experience was amazing and the care PP was phenomenal. If I ever had another kid I’d be coming back.
