I can not recommend a vet more. Their staff went above and beyond on more than one occasion to help when my roommates and I were surprised with a litter of puppies. Their kindness, generosity and delicate care for our animals was more than I could have ever hoped for. If you are looking for a place to take your furry loved ones where their health and well-being is the number one priority, look no further.

Been taking my pets there since there birth almost 7 years ago. They are very professional, and take great care of my pets. Thanks

Our 13 year old cat was stricken by a severe case of obstipation. After paying a ludicrous amount to our local area emergency vet to help him on the weekend he still wasn't right and the problem wasn't solved. Dr. LeAnn Albrecht and her wonderful team accepted him in the morning after my call in desperation and were able to get rid of the obstipation and help him on the way to recovery.

These people are the definition of perfect when it comes to veterinary care and I honestly can't recommend them highly enough.

Friendly staff, informative, they offer alternative services like chiropractic and acupuncture. My dog had an issue, they noticed his neck was a little off, cracked it and he was good as new. Love this vet!

Thank you Animal Medical Hospital! & this isn't only our dogs speaking ;) We are incredibly grateful for the Vets and the entire team for all they've done for our pets. I've never felt more comfortable at any animal hospital. Gypsy & Maddie are in good health and happy thanks to you! Especially at their old age! Highly recommend!

I love this vet hospital. Leann Albrecht is our pup's vet and we think she's great. She's very to-the-point and really cares about her furry patients.

I can't say enough good things about this group. We needed to euthanize our pup of 14 years. They were incredibly professional and caring. Nothing makes it easy to lose a best friend; however, they did their best to help us through. Thank you so much.

I've been going here for almost 10 years. They do all the regular pet care services, some urgent care and chiropractic. The staff is mostly always kind. Clean and well lit establishment.

In short, i CAN NOT overstate my gratitude nor can i speak highly enough of this clinic. I apologize in advance for this being long winded, but I have to summarize almost 8 weeks or near daily visits honestly and that takes a few paragraphs.
I arrived here after another emergency clinic told me my 9 month old pup needed his hind leg removed at the hip immediately or he would almost certainly not survive having been hit my a car. With an almost six thousand dollar price tag I couldn't afford I went home sick finances were going to cost a great doggo his leg or worse his life. After hours on the phone I found a non profit that pledged $2000 for a vet if I could find one that could amputate for that price. (Pets of the Homeless I also can not sing enough praise about)
Hours more on the phone and Animal Medical Hospital was willing to see How'rd the next morning and preform surgery if needed and take him on as a new patient.
So, after seeing How'rd's condition the doc deemed it worth a shot to at least try to save some of his foot. A couple of toes were almost certain to be lost but the leg was perhaps save able.
With broken and exposed bones in the foot and an infection set in they agreed to see How'rd every day mon-fei to change bandages and clean and tend to a hell of a wound.
They were beyond accommodating to my schedule. Took care of the billing and were always professional, polite and honestly cared about the animals I saw in the 8 weeks to come. They sent me with first aid supplies for over the weekends, squeezed us in on crammed schedules when How'rd chewed off his bandage a couple of times.
To sum it all up 8 weeks later. Almost 40 visits and probably a mile of gauze padding later Howrd went from an emergency amputation or he would likely die to not even losing a toenail. He kept his leg, foot and all his digits and made a full recovery BECAUSE of the staff at the Animal Medical Hospital. I can not thank them enough nor recommend them enough. There isn't a person on staff there that can be called anything less than exceptional.
If you care for you critter and are anywhere near Ashland, take them here! Plain and simple. This is a quality clinic full of people that care about animals more than there wallet. And it shows.

This place is filled with incompetent people. We took our puppy to get neutered and when he came home to us he still had something hanging and the assured us it was a hematoma and would go away soon. Guess what it didn’t they left one of his balls and he had to go back into surgery a week after to have the second one removed. How do you only do 50% of your job. Anywhere else that’s a failure. Also we asked to check his ears for ear mites and they said they did and he was okay only to find out from another vet he did have them. We haven’t seen anything from the blood results also we payed for. The staff made us feel stupid for even asking if it was possible they left one in. These people are rude and shouldn’t be vets don’t go here and keep your animals safe.

Unless you want to pay a lot of money for bad advice that might kill your pet, don't go here.
Our cat had an intestinal blockage and Dr. Garrison recommended an X-ray to see what the problem was. I remember thinking at the time, aren't x-rays for bones rather than soft tissue, but I mistakenly thought the vet would know best. A few months later I brought her to Cheerful vet where they did an ultrasound and found cancer in the colon. I don't btw recommend Cheerful vet either. A ten minute web search gave us more information than either of them.
If we had the time from the first x-ray that should have been an ultrasound, we might have been able to save her, but not because of any advise from the vet, especially Animal Medical Hospital. There is no excuse for this incompetence. Our internet searches revealed, this is not that uncommon and an x-ray will not show it.

From the bottom of my broken heart…please take your precious babies elsewhere. I would give anything to go back in time so I could have taken mine somewhere else.

A former lifelong client here, this place has taken a turn for the worse and is no longer safe for your animals. Get a new vet before something bad happens. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

We decided to try this vet out since it was closer to our house and they were open on a Saturday when my cat needed an emergent appt. All went well with the procedure and we decided to stick with them for our regular vet visits. We were with them for a few years before we had any issues. One of our cats is now needing lab work and medication changes regularly. My cat was being treated by Dr. Ahlbrecht. Not only was she and the main receptionist very rude to just talk to they also charged us another fee for a lab after we had already left and paid the balance in full. They never called to inform us someone made a mistake and hadn't charged us the accurate price when we were in. After scheduling my cats next appt I was told about the new balance on my account. It took me calling 3 times to just figure out what the extra charge was even for. They kept rudely telling me why it was so important for her to have this lab work which I obviously already knew. Not 1 person apologized or admitted someone made a mistake when checking us out. When I heard that this has happened more than once to other patients, I decided to go somewhere else. I needed to find a place that professional and has compassion for animals as well as their owners. I'm so happy with my decision I have found a place that is professional, kind, helpful and accommodating. I would not recommend or go back to animal medical hospital in Ashland.
