Anytime Fitness, Corvallis OR

For most of my exercise experience reaching back to my youth it has been mostly done on a personal basis. While my own strength goals have relatively been successful I highly recommend adding a trainer.
It's a motivational booster to have one with positive impact to cheer you on sort of speak. Also while having a trainer I've been given valuable advice on proper lifting to prevent unnecessary break down of my body. Little things that I never considered but now consciously do. I like that very much because it shows that the Anytime Fitness trainer cares for her clients.
It also shows the professionalism that Anytime Fitness has in training their people competently.

Give a personal trainer a try. I guarantee you'll get something valuable from it.

Great little local gym. Always clean and a great variety of equipment. I'm typically here in the morning and never have to worry about meatheads grunting and groaning on the free weights. Staff is helpful, trainers are knowledgeable, and members are courteous. Open 24 hours with your key fob. They tend to match other local gym offers, just chat with the staff person on-site.

I go through Corvallis a few times a month and was looking for a gym in the area to make it easier on myself. I am signed for a program that I pay for through my insurance and Anytime is listed as a gym I could join. I called to double check and was assured that they took my specific program. When I arrived today, the attendant didn't want to put me in the system and tried to make me pay for a two day pass instead.

Sure I could have paid the $14, but that's almost a third of what I already pay on a monthly basis to access the gym and does nothing for the next time I come through.

This might be the best gym in Corvallis, but if they can't be bothered to follow through with what they tell you, what's the point?

This is my go to gym when I visit family in corvallis. I pay for a day pass since I’m not a member. It’s a small gym compared to what I’m used to but they have everything I’ve ever needed, even TRX cables. It’s always clean here, and staff has been welcoming and friendly.

I love this gym! I have been a member ever since they first opened. The owners/managers keep equipment up to date and working well, the gym is kept clean, and they are quick to respond to any problems that come up.

Manager and staff always super friendly and inviting, gym is always extremely clean, and the atmosphere is top tier!

Great staff, clean environment and always able to get my full workout in. Have had nothing but an excellent experience at this location.

Despite an unpleasant first time interaction at the Philomath Anytime Fitness, I decided to give AF another chance and visited the Corvallis branch. I couldn’t be more happy! Alex Hays has been outstanding and the ultimate professional. He is super friendly and courteous to everyone! I’m so grateful he reintroduced me to the equipment (after a 3 year hiatus) and helped me get started with a workout routine.

Even though Alex is half my age he has always treated me, a middle aged woman, in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner. I can honestly say he is the best trainer I’ve ever worked with and I’ve had at least a dozen (Corvallis- Gold’s Gym, Bend, Tacoma). I sincerely hope other gyms/trainers follow his example because Alex is the real deal and has made my return to the gym a wonderful experience.

I tried this gym once, when I was a member somewhere else.
I was so impressed by the atmosphere and the attitude of the staff, I switched to this gym permanently. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they take good care of you. I like the fact that all sorts of people use this gym, and it looks like everyone is getting something out of their work-outs. Very good equipment, everything works, TV monitors on all the cardio machines.and the place is super clean. What's not to like? !
I am amending my review from 11 years ago. It's still a great place to work out. Super clean and tidy! And now they have new equipment and a redesigned space. Even better!

Went to this gym on Monday (01/03/21) with the intention to join after Snap Fitness left town without notice. Signed up for the 7 week trial and the tour of the gym. Gym is small but seems to have everything you need but the young man who was working there was so unwelcoming and rude that I just had to walk away. When working out I usually just mind my own business get in get out, and don't really need anything fancy. I've been weight lifting for 8 years and it was the first time encountering such as bad employee. That is no way to run a business and I wouldn't want someone like that to work on mine. Decided to take my business some place else where they treat customers correctly.

I needed to be in the area twice over the past few months for family. I stopped in to see if I could use the gym a few times during the week I was there. The young lady (sorry forgot your name!) Was welcoming and got me all set up. Had everything I needed for great workouts and both the young lady and young man welcomed me with hellos everyday like I was part of their family. Was great to find a gym and a welcome distraction. Look forward when I come back to town.

Great gym. Loved the old owner because she didn't have a fee to cancel membership. I've since cancelled my membership once knew owners bought to avoid hidden fees with new contract. Other than the amount of money it takes to keep your membership, it's a nice looking gym.

I joined the gym shortly before covid hit. Afterwards I stopped out of fear for my health. I went in and tried to cancel. Fast forward a few months I notice I’m still being billed long after I moved out of the state. Talked with them in an attempt to close the account, not even seeking a refund for the hundreds lost. They refused saying I needed a written notice, something that no other industry in the world requires. I explained to them that I am uncomfortable sending emails as Iv had trouble with account hijacking in the past. Owner was/ is uncooperative and unreasonably difficult in what should have been a one minute process.

It is nice of 24 hours flexibility. But from 10AM to 7PM is very hard to efficiently do workout because of limited amount of facilities and large group of users, especially someone with long breaks.
