Astoria is a quaint little town with an interesting history which the trolley conductors share as you tour the waterfront. It was fun and relaxing.

This was a great surprise the engineer explained some of the history of the town as we went along the waterfront

For the first time in history of Astoria, the trolley ran from the Barber center to Pier 39 and they read Christmas stories and hot chocolate out on the pier. It was the cutest event.

Sadly, the trolley is no longer able to run the full length of the boardwalk because a nearby building burned and made the railway unsafe to use. Hopefully the city will get it fixed so the trolley can go farther. Currently it is only traveling about 1/4th of the rail that it used to go.

Awesome and informative ride even if it is shorter than normal due to the Buoy Beer roof collapse. It currently stops at Stop #6 but that may change. The two gentlemen running the trolley were knowledgeable and friendly, with lots of great information along the way. The trolley is gorgeous and the way the seats switch sides for the return trip is so cool! Definitely worth a buck, and if you can give them some extra or buy some merchandise, that helps them fund the trolley for future enjoyment.

We very much enjoyed our ride, albeit short as it was due to issues with the line. The trolley is very well maintained and looks fantastic inside for its age. The volunteers who run it do a great job at narrating the ride. And although we didn’t get to do the complete route, we followed along the tracks to Astoria and can see it would be a beautiful ride. We went towards the end of July 2022, and hope to come back and do the full ride someday.

The $1 you’ll spend. Entertaining 30 minute trolley ride along Astoria river walk. A “must do” Astoria attraction. Useful local information and take you past a few of the Movie attractions that Astoria has to offer… Goonies House and Kindergarten Cop school to name a couple

Adorable trolley ride along the riverfront; lots of fun information given by very kind volunteer tour guides. Runs on donations. They even let kids ring the bell at some stops, which is cute. Great way to see a lot of the downtown area and plenty of stops to get off and walk.

What a wonderful way to find out the history of Astoria. Up and down the riverfront on the trolley with volunteers who run it and who enjoy sharing what they know about Astoria. We were surprised to learn that the restoration and operation was strictly voluntary and operated by donations only. Donations as you board, there isn't a set price. It was a great way to spend an hour learning about the local area and my husband and I highly recommend it.

Garbage homeless pot smoke broken glass There’s a definite divide as you walk the waterfront between the million dollar homes on the east side and the homeless on the west side. It’s a pretty view but it’s eye candy. This isn’t a review on the trolley it’s a review on the waterfront walk.

A great walk along the shore. Very level and paved. You can watch ships and other maritime traffic. Shares space with the Astoria Trolley and takes you past local breweries and places to eat. A jumping off performance downtown Astoria. Easy passage for prams and walkers.

What an adorable trolley! The conductor was the sweetest, funniest, classiest gentleman. The little history bits were great, and they let all of the children have a turn turning the wheel and ringing the bell! Must do if you visit Astoria.
